Nice course
It’s a short course but every hole has some interest.
Will be back in October to play it again.

Course excellent even though just using winter tees. All normal greens were in play.
Clubhouse and pro shop excellent value, and friendly as always.

Course was amazing today. Fairways a bit burnt but greens were lush Green and still slightly wet leaving pitch marks mid afternoon.
Fantastic course, amazing scenery, lovely staff
We have played before on two occasions and will do so every time we are able to in the future. Staff couldn't be more helpful and the facilities excellent.
Just found out about their County membership and seeing as i live only 1 hour away i think im going to have to have one, great value.
If your anywhere near you must play this course...
First time experience
Not a long course but the hills and blind holes makes this pretty challenging, massive bonus is the amazing scenery as you walk the course, friendly and pleasant staff will be sure to visit again!
Windermere GC
1st time playing this course and will definately play it again. Relatively short, but challenging. Every hole was quirky, a few blind tee shots which adds to the challenge.
The views were incredible especially from the 8th tee box. Would recommend a trolley or cart. Some steep hills out there

A gem within the lakes!
Wow! What a superb course and so impressed I want to play again. Played with my Brother-in-Law and we have played most courses around the UK and overseas, but we would come back to this one at the flick of a switch.
From the tee's through the fairways to the greens, everything was so very well maintained and in excellent condition even down to the course planner in the buggy!
The surroundings are so impressive you just have to try and take them in when playing some of the most beautiful holes I have ever played. This is a must for any golfer wanting to enjoy the perfect round of golf.
Beautiful course in amazing condition
Contrary to other reviews we found the members extremely friendly and the pro shop staff excellent. Unfortunately we were rained off after 9 holes and the hooter sounded after we had done 9 due to thundery conditions,Guy in the pro shop could not have been more apologetic or helpful in arranging a partial refund. Their ladies comp had to be cancelled for the same reason. Will come back, hopefully in better weather, to play a full 18 holes. Greens not the fasted but they never really dried out, fairways twist and turn making you think out every shot and even the teeing areas were flat and in great condition. Can’t wait to get back.
A firm favourite
We have played this course a number of times. We live in Cheshire and drive up for the day
It is consistently in great condition, and of course, provides stunning views.
Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Scenic course with quirky layout
I havw to start with my lasting impression of my experience at Windermere GC: some of the slowest playing members i have ever encountered, who deliberately contravene the rules of general play to rile visitors. I found the majority of members to be rude and arrogant.
That aside, the course layout os quirky with more blind shots than a practice ove round with stevie wonder. Course was in good condition and was enjoyable.
Clubhouse food and drink were very good.
Unique course in a lovely part or the UK
Enjoyed the round however pace of play especially the front 9 was painfully slow. 2 hours 20 mins front 9 before being let through. Back 9 done in 1 hour 15! Staff really friendly. Some really nice holes with stunning views. Would recommend the course

Played Windermere in a blazing hot day in high 80’s
Course was in good condition but for a first timer it was very bad to determine where the fairways were and hence club selection to choose
Very arduous and hilly especially on a very hot day
Could do with being £10 cheaper then I would have another crack at it as it iis a better course fir knowing
Pure fun
Superb layout... every hole presenting a different challenge& the views are just stunning. Although driver is not required the length of the course challenges all standards... Just brilliant & we will be back
