Course in reasonable condition due to weather conditions and course maintenance. Pace of play a little on the slow side especially on the back 9 due to bad etiquette. But over all good course and value for money

I liked the course layout and it was challenging enough, helped by the wet and windy weather for sure. However the greens were in rough condition. To be fair this was mostly because they had just been tined and seeded. I'd like to go back and see what they are like in the summer. The worst part of the course was there was little to no signs! Many of the tee boxes had NO sign telling you what tee it was, no info at all! And there were ZERO signs telling you how to get to the next tee box. So at times you had NO idea if you were on the right tee.

As always the course was perfect even though greens were being seeded the course was excellent

A great round of golf at Grimsby Golf course, course conditions were 1st class greens a bit slow but expected this time of year.

Course was brilliant, although when we turned up we was told that only the front 9 was open ,therefore a possibility we would have to play it twice which they we agreed it would be better if there was some for of communication between yourselves and the course for updates, also we wasn’t told that all bunkers were GUR and told by members on the course when use them, I think maybe some kind of further communication could be a way forward, but apart from that the course was lovely and will return

As always enjoyed playing golf at Grimsby Golf course, staff in pro shop very friendly and polite and after the round staff in club house were very welcoming overall enjoyed the day at Grimsby Golf club.

Felt like a green keeper, having to repair pitch marks from the group/groups in front. Not necessary to be so inconsiderate. Players complain when greens aren’t up to scratch but then don’t do their bit to keep them in good condition, so frustrating

I decided to visit my old course having been a member here 20 years ago.

I was alone & was killing 2 birds with one stone by checking out the course for a future membership renewal & hit my clubs after having them regripped with midsize.

On arrival I was greeted by the club Pro & his staff who were extremely helpful & cheerful.

I had a little putting practice be fore setting out & realised throw wet the course was going to be. It is winter after all & Grimsby is well known for retaining moisture.

On all the greens I left footprints & found myself tip toeing around trying not to damage them.

The fairways were ok though & I could take a divot without getting a face full of mud.

I’m a little biased we’re this course is concerned, as I used to caddie here when I was a boy & it was always a dream to become a member.

The course is a gem especially in the summer .

I didn’t have time to venture into the clubhouse so cannot comment on any changes they may have made but It was always lovely inside & served good food.

I went round in 75 ( albeit on a shortened course) the new grips feel great.

Hope to rejoin at some point.

Well worth the £13 .

I feel we were ripped off . We were on 18 temporary greens . They were not even proper temporary greens .They just put a hole and a flag in a section of fairway . They didn't even cut the grass. There needs to be better interaction between the clubs and golf websites , because that was not value for money . 18 temporary tees . With prior knowledge we would not have played.

Have played Grimsby Golf course quite a few times now and it never disappoints friendly and helpful staff, pleasant members and the course is always a challenge and enjoyable to play a bit wet and muddy this time of year but enjoyable all the same ,would highly recommend

After some terrible weather in the week running up to playing the course i was expecting the course to be closed however it was fully open and in exceptional condition for the time of year i was very impressed to the point i am considering moving to here next year.

Always enjoy a round of golf here. Immaculate course with a mixture of short and long holes, offering a tricky challenge. Friendly staff always helpful
