Harrogate Golf Club

The course is fantastic. Challenging, but beautiful layout and in top condition.

We will certainly intend to play this course again.

Driving into here it was clear to see how well maintained the whole club is, the gorgeous little square with the practice green and pro shop really set the standards for the round.

Excellent facilities including 2 ranges and a chipping area.

Not the longest course but a real tough test for a mid handicap, well placed bunkers and undulating mounds make it key to be accurate from the tee box.

The fairways and greens were in immaculate condition, the greens sloping in many directions and running true made it a real test. The fairways were like carpets and maintained excellently.

The shorter front 9 welcomes you with some lovely holes especially the 2nd & 6th being personal favourites, stopping off at Tim’s Cabin for a quick bite to eat leads you into the best 3 holes 11, 12 & 13.

A really challenging finish of 4 long par 4s complete the course and can really alter how the scorecard looks.

Currently this is the best course I have played this year and will take some beating, it will be interesting to see how the higher green fees at clubs compares to the price and quality of Harrogate Golf Club. 👏

Course, for this time of year in good shape with some challenging holes, especially as the wind was blowing!

Will definitely play again and i imagine the greens will be very difficult in the summer as they were very fast in winter conditions.

Don’t know what the standard rate for 18 holes is here, but to be charged full freight (£45) to play on freshly aerated & top dressed greens often waiting for greens staff, doesn’t seem right as a visitor? The fact that I booked online was confirmed by the club pro shop & the state of the greens wasn’t mentioned when I enquired about course conditions, disappointing!

Played this mature parkland few times with a friend who had membership. Possibly the best kept course I've played with a nice practice area, chipping area and putting green. Always in immaculate condition with fast, true greens. Layout is nice although a few holes can be a bit straightforward in their design. The final three are a real test due to length and often into the wind. I often played Sunday afternoon about 3pm and it was millionaires golf, barely a soul on the course. Definitely worth a visit.
