Nice first round after lockdown...shame about the greens
Really sandy and uneven greens - hopefully they improve a bit over the next couple of weeks
HHGC
In estate agents terms; it has great potential and the green staff do their very best but it is after all a municipal course and has to answer to the boroughs residents. It’s a tough course and is enjoyable. Winter due to the clay base is makes it a quagmire and not too nice to be honest. Summer on the other hand is such a welcome contrast!
Potential
Works on the greens were only done 3 weeks ago so they are not ready and full of sand, feel spongy and bumpy. They will be ready in a month and should be nice and fast by May.
Hopefully by then the club house will reopen too.
Clubhouse shame on Hillingdon
A golf course with no catering is a disgrace. Hillingdon council get a move on 18 months since it was open. It's a good reason to play other courses.
Great value
Great value for money, not the best greens in the world but for £14 who cares...nice course, nice surroundings
Lovely course
I like this course, its a shame the season tickets was stopped due to this pandemic, i dont think it helped stop the pandemic, rather create more mental health issues,
Golf is kind of a therapy.
Good for time of year!
I was pleasantly surprised how dry the course was for the end of March. The greens have recently been cored and are still recovering with scarification lines that the ball can get trapped along. I expect the course to be in good condition in a few weeks time so look forward to golf in May! A great layout and tricky test.

My local course - great to be back after lock down
This is a good fun course with beautiful views if you stop to take a look. The course has done well not to be played on in the last few months as it needed to recover from the rain we had in January, the 16th green is still very soggy. Apart from that it was a joy to be able to play again on such a lovely day. It is not the longest course but there are some interesting challenges as you go around, I think for £14 this is good value for money.
Not the worst
It’s a relatively cheap course, today it was not in good condition! Course layout is decent, some interesting holes but it is short. Overall it is what it is, a fairly cheap council owned course, in average to poor condition. But if you can’t find somewhere better to play at a reasonable price, I wouldn’t put you off trying it.
Haste hill
It was very disturbing to see so many 2 balls pairing up into 4 balls after 1st tee..
There were at least 5 groups of 4 that I saw
Excellent Value
Always excellent value.
Challenging holes and also more straightforward holes
Wet conditions vehicle made it trickier.
