Played this course before, very hot day and no refreshments available at all, needs to be addressed ASAP
Since when was a 5 ball a thing?
Played this course several times as it offers good value for money and is a fair test. I understand that course facilities are limited during the pandemic. Also that with the recent dry weather, the fairways will dry out and crack in places. What I don’t accept is that the pace of play is regularly impacted by players who don’t know the meaning of course etiquette!! Too many play slowly, talk and score on the greens after putting out, never look who is behind or try and keep up with the group in front. Yesterday there was even a five ball playing together, not letting anyone through and just progressing very very slowly. No course rangers around to encourage good play and ensure tee of groups stay together and do not join just because they are mates!!
Bare and Patchy
Haste Hill is a good public course but the fairways are very dry with many bare patches across many of them. You are very often in the middle of the fairway with a lie on bare ground with no grass which is far from ideal. We always play early so pace of play for us is good but you can see this could be a problem as the day goes on.
Best course for the Money
Great course great conditions have played here every week for the last 8 weeks. Highly recommend to all level of player
Plea for help
The course is in excellent condition. , so is Uxbridge.
It is such a shame you cannot use the cloakroom facilities. Even worse, there are no catering or bar facilities.
Would it not be possible to use the tables outside and bring your own drink/packed lunch? This situation is reducing club members in both male and female groups.
Unbeatable value
For a public course it's in great condition and a good layout, with an excellent mix of holes overall, although front 9 somewhat tougher than the back. For the money you can't go wrong choosing to play here.
Haste Hill - Saturday knock
Really well kept course, immaculate greens, interesting holes. Opening hole is a tester. Has a practice green but no driving range facility. Staff very pleasant. Well worth a round.
Course challenge
Hole 11 too short and not challenging enough
Holes 12 and 13 could be made challenging
Only one par 5; would prefer at least two more
Increase course length to at least 6500 yards, not sure if this is possible.
This is a very good course that could be made into an excellent one.
