Disappointed with the number of temporary greens and mats for tees on every hole.

It would have been good to know that most of the greens aren’t in operation before booking .. It’s a shame really as I’m sure in summer it’s a nice track. It’s winter after all but this one took the biscuit. Really shouldn’t be taking visitor bookings whilst the course is so far from its best. Reached out to management with no reply. All in all a poor experience.

With the rain we have had recently I was most pleased with how dry and good condition the whole of the course was. There was a couple of temporary greens but wasn't really necessary as the greens were all in good order. Layout and staff very friendly would definitely play here again but be prepared for the hill climbs!

Very disappointed to see the course in such bad condition. All tees off winter boards and various temporary greens.

When it was a standard green they was in poor condition and little work applied to remove debris. If you are using golf now go for a low price if possible to soften the blow.Most greens could have been open in my opinion and like wise for tees.

just a shame we had terrible weather the night before and leading up to our tee time...a few temporary greens were out, but otherwise thoroughly enjoyable course and good exercise walking!

Challenging course and very hilly makes it enjoyable but this course will beat you up I if you are not on your game. Sadly th greens are in a terrible condition this time of year and makes even harder to post a respectable score they need a serious amount of maintenance.

The day we played it was foggy and frosty for the first hour. Fortunately we got our round half price thanks to the golf now hot deals so we were more than happy to play in the conditions. The main points of note have already been mentioned, but there are plenty of blind shots and it is rather hilly. The course is set up and down either side of a Valley so this should be expected. There were 8 temporary greens due to the winter and frozen ground, but even still this course had the potential to be lovely in summer.

Course was in great condition for the time of year.

I emailed the course the following:

Today our tee time was 9.30 and it was raining lightly. We played the first 3 holes with a little rain lying on the green but were being followed by green staff replacing flags onto temporary greens, they weren't that wet.

We ended up playing half the course on temporary tees or greens.

Most frustrating were the lovely last 2 holes at the top of the course which were both dry and didn't warrant temporaries.

We did mention this at reception but nobody came and spoke to us n the bar.

A very disappointing response.

I've emailed since and received no reply.

really interesting coarse, if a bit hilly, good greens and tees and varied holes, it makes you play no just smash the ball of the tee everytime.

Stuck behind 2 sets of 4-balls and became evident they wouldn’t let me through.

Gave up after 5 holes in a bad mood. Won’t be returning

Good course layout, but the course was suffering from the dry weather.

Course in great nick, especially the greens - but i've never played a course with so many blind shots! You also need to be a mountain goat to play it

Staff very friendly - bar kept open so we could get a drink after our round, even though they were cashing up: much appreciated
