Great spring day for golf!
A great day for golf, course in great condition, thoroughly enjoyable, and even though the kitchen is not open on Mondays, there was a selection of pies to have with a pint afterwards!! What is there to not like!!? Thanks all and look forward to going back in the near future!
Poor conditions
Take my review with a grain of salt, I’m an American who was on holiday in Manchester and wanted to take my friends out for an afternoon of golfing. The tee time was reasonably priced and the course was in a nice area. Unfortunately the course was in pretty terrible shape; I understand that it’s hard to maintain a course with how rainy the winter has been but the whole course felt like one big mud pit. All of the fairways and rough areas were so wet, water would actually come up around your shoes when you stepped. The greens were so wet that you had to hit a ball 3x as hard as normal to get it near the hole. I will say that the bunkers were exceptionally maintained but that was about it. On a normal day with a dry week before your tee time I think this would have been a really fun course to play but unfortunately because of the conditions, I didn’t have a great time.
A winters tale
A frosty day so the greens were difficult - but that is to be expected playing at this time of year so no complaints. We like this course a lot with many interesting and challenging holes. The 18 being a knee knocker with the club house windows directly behind the green. We’ve always had a very friendly reception here and we will be going back.
Great round for a high handicapper
The perfect course if you are high handicapped. Short Par 4s bringing the joy to golfing.
Sunday morning round
We need off at 10.20 and it was raining. The course is in good condition. Very beautiful but dome holes did overlap. A really nice course
Value for money
Second time playing this little gem of a coarse, may seem like an easy coarse but it's not, will catch the best of golfers out if your not on your game, the whole coarse is in excellent condition and a credit to all involved looking after it, a great little club well worth a vist
Lovely course
Front 9 not too long but challanging. Par 3 10th tee you will need a bit of nerve as you are in front of the club house balcony. Back 9 longer and the 18th green again in front of the club house balcony.
Good course for all handicaps
Nice course with a few interesting holes - okay for mid and high handicappers with a bit of thought and care.
Challenging course
Friendly members, great layout with a few crossovers, unfortunately a lot of people not repairing their divots so some chewed up fairways on the front 9. Also we seemed to be following a group of younger players who thought it was OK to leave litter strewn across the course.
Good condition - interesting course
Not the longest course and quite forgiving off the tees, an interesting short first hole where irons can be played, a few tricky pin positions.
Went out early bank half 8 holiday morning and was happy with rate of play
A little Hidden Gem
First playing at Heaton moor golf club , only 25 minutes away from where I live and I never knew it was there !! Great lay out with some quirky holes that I find great having to use your imagination on where and what club to hit . A very fair course but don't let it fool you as there is alot of out of bounds and sneaky water features with a arsenal full of bunkers . Greens were immaculate as well as the fairways . Overall a great experience I didn't manage to get in the Pro shop as it wasn't open but I'm sure the Pro would of been on hand to help if needed.
Great value for money
Not a difficult course, very well maintained. Great value for money
Pour conditions
Course was very wet, all green besides 10 and 18th were on temps,
Most courses on golf now tell you if holes are closed or greens are temps. Nothing what so ever on their website or on golf now, disappointing with the money paid for the condition on the course. Advertising course conditions before booking should be mandatory.
