Well maintained course

The course is in really nice condition, particularly the greens. My main criticism would be that it is a bit bland, particularly on the back 9 where you spend a lot of time go back and forth on typical parkland holes. Nevertheless, an enjoyable course to play.

Heaton Moor Golf

Had a Tee off of 1:20.

Have to be careful when driving from the main road to the clubhouse as you drive through some holes once you have avoided golf balls. Lots of parking.

Did not have a full look round but seem to have quite a bit of practice areas, Also next to first tee is a putting green for that last minute.

The course itself was in good condition even more so with the weather we have had. Little soft underfoot on some fairways.

18th Green was probably the worst looking green as covered by shade.

The only bit of feedback I would give is more signs of where the next tee is as on some holes it is not as obvious as you may think.

Great course

Heaton Moor Golf Club is a well maintained course with polite and friendly staff and members. There are many challenging holes and for beginners and pros alike. Worth a visit if you have never played. When I last played it was just after all the storms and the course played long obviously but was still in a good condition. Playing off mats from the fairway to protect the course during the wet conditions. Still it was good to be out playing golf in the later summer afternoon.

Get your wellies out

Not the best time of year to play a course that doesn't drain well. The greens were great still but that was the only highlight. We (2 ball) were waiting on a few holes to be let through with no success. 2 guys infront of us skipped a few holes to get ahead of a slow 2 and 4 ball. Front nine is alot better than back nine which just seems to loop back and forth. They are doing alot of work on the 1st greenside bunker to the left. This hole should be played shorter as it's a danger to them if hitting driver off the tee as it's such a short opening hole. Only played it as it's local and got it at a cheap price in the afternoon. Probably wouldn't return as there are to many short par 4's.

Slowest round of golf of my life

3 moody old blokes in front of us, who spent about 2 hours on each hole, when asked if we could play through they answered no due to them being members there. We were a 2 ball and it took us just under 5 hours due to the slowest people in front of us. Course is boring with no nice features. Tee boxes are in terrible nick and to top it all off we had the green keeper who was most likely intoxicated flying round the greens when we were attempting to putt for the first 9 holes. Would not return
