Oh dear

I have played High Legh regularly since it was built, my last time was July when it was the best I've ever seen it. Unfortunately today the course was poor, the greens had been heavily scarified and were unplayable, no warning when we booked or no mention by the lad on reception when we signed in, a waste of an afternoon as putting was impossible. The course is over played and is effectively a pay and play set up, some of the better holes have been lost completely or are now part of the Academy course it's all geared up to maximising income. That said it would be good value for money if you catch it on one of the days that you can actually use the greens.

A lovely round with friends up from the south.

Staff were excellent - helping us move the time late on. Course in excellent condition. if your 'balls' are like mine and are attracted to water - pack more balls!

The 7th, 8th and 9th were a little confusing to sort as we weren't following anyone - course cards were out of stock ( they are needed if new to course.

All in all a very enjoyable round of golf and look forward to playing it again.

Very enjogable round of golf

Course generally in great condition considering the time of year. Widish fairways and fairly forgiving.
Greens are fairly quick but one or two are a bit threadbare at the edges. Plenty of water hazards so take a few extra balls with you.
Members and staff very welcoming and the clubhouse is excellent - the home made pie was delicious.
We had a good time and would certainly visit agaitn
