Good course - worth considering

Played the course for the first time after torrential rain the previous day so I can report the course drains quite well, it was in fairly good condition. As a course it has its challenges and offers wonderful views.

For some reason they had removed most of the hole signs which would have made it very difficult for anyone playing fr the first time fortunately I was playing with someone who had played there before.

Nonetheless I liked it and will come back.

Hunley Hall

Unfortunately we didn’t play on the millennium course which l was looking forward to, but the course we played was in good nick, besides one green which had G.U.R on it.

Our first time playing golf in Saltburn by the sea and we had a super time. Great course, plenty of variety. Lovely greens. Course played like a links. We will definitely be returning. Very helpful and friendly golf pro.

Very friendly staff and locals

Interesting course, a couple of non-distinct holes (particularly 6th), but in good condition, excellent fairways and greens, only let down by the bunkers that had wet and baked sand. Wind made the course a challenge, even though it was generally generous. The staff and locals were exceptionally friendly.

Hunley 02/09/2020

We played the Morgans Course [6,794 yards] – enjoyed it but it’s a tough test for the average amateur player with some blind approach shots into relatively small raised & undulating greens – very difficult to post a good score. Semi-rough is punishing and if you are unlucky enough to hit into the full rough you might as well forget it as the chances of finding the ball are almost nil. Sea views out to the East over the cliffs are very picturesque but the course is a bit hilly and exposed to the wind.

Most scenic course in the North East of England

A beautiful and well maintained golf course, with challenging but fair holes if you can it the ball straight. On this day I did and it is the second time this summer we played the course and both times the course was in good nick and a pleasure to play. A friendly pro and the members on the course make you welcome.

I definitely recommend to play here but on a nice day, but then I only play on nice days.
