Very Good Links
First time there. Guy in the shop friendly and informative. Course was in great shape even after weeks of rain. Greens were excellent. A little confusing at times finding the next tee but we were helped 2-3 times by other players.
May Bank Holiday round
Although the weather wasn't good the course was great some very tricky holes and greens.
Got a bit lost a couple of times looking for tee boxes but expected as first time playing the course.
Look forward to playing again under better weather
Lovely course but clubhouse very dated
Course was excellent will definitely go again but must say the club house is very dark and dated. It really needs to be nicer as the course is stunning
Lovely course
Lovely links course the greens were a joy recommend this course to all golfers shame about the surroundings
But don’t be put off the golf course will wow you
Lucky
It was flat calm when we played this lovely course shame about the view which is the only downside greens fantastic people lovely fairways pace of play slow 4 ball spoiled a perfect day . The pro was friendly the bar staff friendly get yourselves to Seaton Carew for a bargain round of golf
Immaculate!
Played this course on a hot deal rate of £30.00 plus £1.00 booking fee instead of the £45.00 normal fee. Even at £45.00 it would have been a bargain so delighted to have played it for only £30.00 as it is a true gem.
Very friendly welcome from the pro & all the members & can not fault the day I had.
Seaton Carew August 2020
What a great course! A hidden gem that was fantastic to play. I’d seen many great reviews before playing and the course didn’t disappoint. We live in Teesside and are lucky to have this so close. It’s a fabulous links, not too punishing but certainly a test. Keep the driver in play and you’ll love every minute. Excellent service from the friendly team, greens were immaculate and a joy to putt on. Will most certainly be back for more soon.
Handicap 25 - Score 97 - Conditions calm
Great links golf course. Loved the place.
First time playing this course and really enjoyed it. Credit to ground staff as the greens are amongst the best i've seen, ran fast, true and if you get yardage wrong expect some challenging 2 putts. The course presents a true traditional golf challenge compared to the usual parkland types. Nice pro and unbelievable value for money. Probably best played with an easterly wind as the top end of course carried a lovely smell of local industry.
Great course
If you are a golfpass member use your £25 credit on the hot deal at seaton. It’s the best £25 hot deal on golfnow. Top 100 course for a reason. Very friendly pro and nice shop, can’t work out how many course layouts there are and why they change them in this way (22 holes?) but that’s a quirk of the place. If you live in West Yorkshire this is the best links close by- check it out.
Great course but experience spoiled by playing off mats
I have played Seaton Carew on several occasions and thoroughly enjoy playing on this great links course. However, I have scored this experience lower than before as we were asked to play off mats on the fairways or take a drop in to the semi rough and play from there. Disappointing when you’re are paying decent money to play and there is no advance warning of this requirement before you turn up.
Best links in the area
Couldn’t have hoped to find the course in better condition, greens firm & true. Bunkers & fairways in great condition for time of year. Well worth a visit
A great links course
Seaton Carew is a great links course at a reasonable price but still presenting a good challenge with all of the features expected of a links course - fast greens, firm fairways, undulations, swales, thick rough, etc.
Excellent condition. If I lived closer I’d be looking to join.
Look forward to my next visit.
Good day
As always the staff pleasant and helpful, even after all the bad weather we have had the condition of the course was great due to the excellent work of the ground staff
