Lickey Hills Golf Course

I have played this course a number of times but this was the first time in the last 2 years. The course is in a beautiful setting but the greens and tee box’s are awful. You can live with poor tee box’s but the greens were an embarrassment. They should not be allowed to charge what they charge and expect you to play on these greens. Real shame.

Idiots on motorbikes, golfers not fixing divots/pitch marks, and poor weather have made a good course a poor one.

Some good challenges on the track, and a nice place to be other than the above.

But the value probably doesn't quite match the conditions.

Staff in the pro shop are great!

Unfortunately, without being pre warned, we found the course to be in very poor condition. Most of the greens had been vandalised and even the tees were in need of attention. We have played here several times over the years, but it needs a lot of TLC

Well maintained and good value for money, nothing special but did the job and will definitely be back

Have played the lickeys numerous times in the past 10 years but only returned recently again after the covid disruption. As always easy to book via golf now and with the recent unsettled weather I waited until the last minute to go and play. Saturday turned out to be the best day of the weekend weather wise so it was great to get out. Found a bargain price after 3pm and booked in easily when I got to the course. The professional is very friendly and helpful so it was good to be welcomed. Teed off without any waiting and there were no hold ups all the way round. I would say its always been one of the best quality 'ex council' courses. Its not overly long but has steep hills in places so is a decent challenge with a good variety of holes. The course was in good condition but as with most mytime courses the bunkers could have been presented better. Most of them were down to their limit with hardly any sand in. The care of bunkers and greens is usually the main difference between these courses and private courses. I presume this is down to budget/staff?. I didnt use the off course amenities but can say there are good toilet/changing facilities. Overall I had a great time though and would definitely return again.

Nice Elevation on many of the holes, not to long, rewarded for keeping the driver in the bag and thinking your way round

This course is challenging and interesting. Thr course is kept well considering it's a municipal. Would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed playing this course with great views of Birmingham and the Lickeys and some fascinating holes . Good challenge

Considering that the course was open all winter when really it should have been closed it was really quite good. The groundsman have been working well the last few weeks and it shows fairway aerated and cut etc. Some spring sun and it will be good players need to repair pitch marks thou

Excellent. Great course with spectacular views of Birmingham from some holes and other holes you feel like you are in the middle of the countryside surrounded by trees and hills . Some very good holes . An overall pleasure to play can’t wait to play again

All round for winter golf the course was great

Only thing was great shame about the motorcycle marks on the greens very sad
