A really nice course. The front nine is very tight with lots of trees the back nine is more open. Take some extra balls. 😉 Course was quite wet but greens in good condition.

For the time of year fairways are good, greens are fast and well maintained.

Fairways on the front 9 were unplayable but the fairways on the back 9 were fine. The 18 greens were in wonderful conditions and very quick.

Will be back in the summer.

The fairways were rather boggy after recent rains and the first half of the course somewhat claggy underfoot and when one hit the golf ball. We have played this course in summer before and it has been in much better condition when firm underfoot. It was not a great pleasure and, whilst the weather was not bad at all, we will not be playing here again over the winter but will wait until things are drier next year.

2nd hole was turned into a Par 3 instead of par 5 but as no notice was given we played it from where the yellow tee would normally be. That was certainly the soggiest fairway. The greens were good considering the rain and som, that drained better were actually quite quick. The fairways hadn't been cut for some time so it was a bit difficult in seeing/finding the ball especially if it plugged or was in a bunch of leaves. However, saying all that still playable and scored reasonably well.

Would recommend the course but wait till a little drier.

I put I would recommend but that would depend on time of year, it’s a good knock but no consistency in terms of condition, to be fair with the weather the greens were good and a good pace but difficult to find the edge of fairway and rough on majority of holes, fairway grass way to long!!

Decent puttting green, chipping green and there is a practice range and well.

However, fairways are worse than a Sunday league pitch, very slushy and wet. The course layout is poor. Greens aren't too bad but were very wet as well. Overall not great value for money. Would not recommend.

The course does not drain well, and a number of holes I could not tell the difference between fairway and first cut. The compressor for shoe cleaning was not working. It value for money playing there

Course in good condition, friendly staff. Good Value.

Nice course with a good mix of pars. Despite the recent terrible weather the course was well looked after - tee boxes and greens.

Hard course but very enjoyable, would definitely recommend playing here.

Greens had recently had maintenance and were a little bumpy but looked as if normly they would be reasonable.

Good course let down by slow play

Loved playing the course, found it challenging as a beginner but mostly open fairways and needed to think about course management because of the amount of bunkers. Loved it though! Could have done with a buggy but only because I was feeling a bit lazy but none available. Ce la vi right… I’d play again happily. It was also race day so got to see some horse racing too. Great value coffee too. Weather could have been better but that’s not the clubs fault, just England.

Excellent course, amazing value, helpful and friendly staff!

I have played this course several times and there is always maintenance being carried out' with mowers traversing fairways tees and greens being cut, it really is quite off putting especially yesterday when the fairways and some tee boxes were being shaved to within an inch of their lives, we had to fight through a dust storm kicked up by a mower on the 4th hole while the 5th tee box was being scalped. Also so many trees being cut down! why? It's a shame because I really like the course, probably give it a miss for a while

Played this for the first time and it was great. Some truly spectacular holes and a nice blend of forest and parkland. Didn't feel rushed and some nice water features.

Nice and smart and running parallel and through the race course adds interest.
