Golfer Reviews
First-class golf
We visited Louth Golf Club for the first time today and were very impressed. Some members waved a greeting as soon as we arrived, we were then met by the club captain who was very friendly and helpful. The staff in the pro shop and the bar were also friendly and helpful. Food and drink prices are very reasonable, in fact the lowest I have come across in a golf clubhouse. Last but certainly not least we found the course to be in good condition although a bit challenging. The only thing I would like to see is some markers for the public footpaths that cross the course so that the public know where to cross and golfers know where to expect them. We will definitely be coming again.
Louth in the sunshine
A great Par 72 course, to challenge golfers of all levels from toght tree lined fairways or the up and down shots (you are in hibbards hills ! ) to raised greens and good pin placements.
The values for money is great and the course in great condition.
Highly recommend!
“Challenging course”
Some great holes which are a challenge for all golfers.
Some spectacular views of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
Great view of the church steeple from the second tee.
Surely one of the best courses in the area.
Challenging course
If you've never been here give it a go. great value a bit hilly for us older ones. very challenging but rewarding good golf. pace of play excellent not many courses you can play for under 15quid will be back soon. steve
Enjoyable
An enjoyable woodland track, excellently kept, with some challenging holes. The tree in front of the green on the 9th in particular! A couple of holes could have done with a bell or raised view to see if the fairway/green was clear (e.g. 3rd & 5th), and a few more direction signs for a visitor. Clubhouse staff were very friendly, attentive and respectful. Definitely considering membership.
Millionaires golf
What a great course.
Well maintained a pure pleasure from start to finish.
Definitely be back
New partners
Was teamed up with 2 lads from Leicester who had not played the course before we all had a great day the course was in great condition the recent rain had done wonders for the course the greens were true and slick i always like to play this course when down here on a break and if you use the golf now site you could get a good deal we only paid £ 12.00 each great value for a very good course
great course
played with my son lovely course guy in shop friendly, other player friendly , this course is worth a visit
Very impressive course
We really enjoyed playing Louth GC today. The course was tough in places but certainly fair with opportunities to rectify mistakes. The 2nd and 12th were our favourite holes. Highly recommended!
Expected better, and tried to make us play with strangers?
Booked this course as a 2 ball, as this was the only option on Golf Now. Assuming the course only allowed couples to play due to social distancing and COVID restrictions. Only to be told we would need to join with another pair when we arrived at the course. Not being funny, but I’ve spent the last 5 months being careful and avoiding family and friends due to health issues, and now the course wanted me to play with strangers?
Which would have meant wearing a face mask for the whole round, as I wouldn’t have felt comfortable.
After some discussion with the course and them blaming Golf Now for not making the booking clear, we were allowed to play as a pair. This wasn’t the best start to my first round of the year after lockdown, as if I’d have known, I could have invited another pair of friends to play with us!!? Course was OK, expected better greens, especially after such a long period of lockdown. Dry, patchy, slow and not very true - the groundkeepers should have been the busiest members of staff during lockdown but I guess they had to furlough them?
