One of the better fairways Photo submitted by t543707057 on 05/16/2023
Classic parkland course on the Lincolnshire Wolds
The course was a classic parkland style, on the rolling countryside which is the Lincolnshire Wolds. The course was in reasonable condition after overnight rain and greens were true and perhaps surprisingly pacy. Fairways and the rough though were in need of a good trim and seemed generally too woolly for late July. There were a couple of holes where tees and adjacent greens were too close for comfort. Buggy tracks were in evidence on parts of the course but not throughout which lead to a few confusing moments. Overall an enjoyable course but not one of the better ones in the area.
Slow play but good course
Played as a two ball and walked off the 18th fairly happy with the course. The fairways were dry and hard but that was due to harsh warm weather, with a bit of rain I'd imagine the fairways would be spot on. The greens were in good condition, a bit too soft in places but good condition nevertheless.
Unfortunately we got stuck behind a stubborn 4 ball that played consistantly slow until they left after the 9th.
Would play the course again.
Great community course
Fantastic welcome in the club house when we arrived. Informed by club shop how to play some of the greens which I though was great touch.
Course compact and in great shape .
Staff friendly
Louth
Greens very fast
Very friendly people especially the 4 ball behind us ...we’ll worth a visit
Thanking you
Great course in lovely setting
Despite a week of heavy rain, the course was in good condition, with no temporary greens. Great. Course layout, friendly staff members, played here several times, always enjoyable
Good parkland course
Lovely day at Louth. weather was perfect, course in good condition. Staff and members very welcoming. Excellent value.
Good views and well maintained
Played here on a cold but calm December day. All greens where in play and in good condition. It is a hilly course with a variety of holes, i.e. left/right doglegs, par 3s with obstacles, sloping greens etc Thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and the friendly staff. Will definitely return
Day out
Tiring but enjoyable round of golf on a very hot day. Would hire a buggy on next visit. A bit more sand in some of the bunkets would have been preferable.
Very good
Very nice course. Discount from tee off times ecvellent
Shame a 4 ball in front was soooo slow
Would recomend this course
Lovely Louth
Great value for money-.played on a Saturday. I thought Lincolnshire was flat- this course certainly isn't with numerous changes in elevation. This is not a long course but tests all aspects of your game. Greens were excellent regardless of the time of year. There are a couple of internal OOBs as the whole site is quite tight. You certainly need good course management skills but there are a number of risk and reward holes. Overall a very enjoyable experience.(Handicap 3)
Open country
Good greating and no issue as was able to start immediately. Even before initial tee time.
Course in good condition on a perfect day for playing.
Even as a 28 handicapper some holes felt short for the low handicappers but the difference in height might play a part in that. Few bunkers to catch you out but but lots of undulations to test your stance.
Amazin Landscape
Played early afternoon on a sunny Sunday. There was nobody behind us. Glad we decided to pay £20 for a buggy which was well worth it. Some of the holes where very long and some uphill. The views were simply stunning. All over we could see the Lincolnshire Wolds. We had a great relaxing game and will certainly be returning if we come across a bargain of £15pp again.
