Could be so much better
Played here lots of times and definite improvements have been made. But the 15th. hole is a total mess and lets the whole course down. Plus the fact that pre-covid we were paying no more than £10 midweek as seniors and that has increased to £15. It is such a pity that drainage issues on various parts of the course cannot be sorted.
Malkins Bank
Pace of place was very slow, waiting around a lot. Tee off was 11:54, actually got going about 12:04 there was a society out infront of the 3 lads in front of us, waiting around a lot. Not ringing bells when course states too.
Warm day, great course. Can't help big groups sometimes. But 4hours 40 for 18 holes is a bit ridiculous..
Excellent Value
Really enjoyed my round today. The course improving on every visit. I liked the new starters hut/checking by the first tee!

Played here a few times, today was the worst ive seen it ( due to the amount of rain lately) to be honest think they should have closed a couple of holes due to the amount of water on the fairways, wont stop me going back in the near future

Malkins Bank on a winters day
We arrived and were able to get on the course a few minutes early. We were pleasantly surprised that the ground was only wet in a few areas. We were restricted to temporary tees and some temporary greens. The course is so much better when the trees have foilage as it encloses the fairways and increases the challenge. That said there is a variety of holes to play with their own individual characteristics.
