Congleton golf course
A little gem of a course. Friendly staff, challenging holes and very presentable greens. Will definitely recommend and return in the future
Quirky, enjoyable challenge but tough on legs
First time here, much harder test than expected. Some tricky tee shots especially. Quirky with the arrangements with greens for first and 2nd 9 holes. Some nice views, well kept and decent fairways and greens. We found it tiring so be prepared for a test on your legs. Would come back though.
As per other courses the weather hasnt helped
At all it was very boggy and wecwere playing
Temporary greens which wasnt explained at the start and some of the two flag greens werent in play which was a bit confusing but overall a nice course
I will go back in the summer to play it in better weather
Great 9 holler
Great 9 holler, with 2 flags on each green apart from 3 holes on the back 9 which have different greens to play too. Would definitely play again greens were good and trick to putt on because of some great slopes. Really enjoyed it
Great 9 hole course
Well kept challenging course, will definitely be going back for another round.
Great course, friendly staff, incredibly well maintained
First time we have visited this course. I paid £25 pp as a visitor and was amazed at the quality of the entire course. Best course I have played in years. Greens were immaculate and every hole and interesting challenges. The course map you are given as a first time visitor is also invaluable and well put together. Superb course and great value for money. Whoever is running this place well done.
Really Nice Track
Never played this course but was really impressed! Great condition, really varied holes, good but testing greens!
A lot of elevation variation which made every hole feel like a different challenge…..well worth visiting.
It was my first time here, it won’t be the last!!
The pro shop was closed, which was a shame, as a bit of insight before you play is always useful!
Maybe the 30 degree temperature and no wind helped the score, I could see a few more numbers on the card if the conditions were different and the ball doesn’t fly straight!
Would recommend to anyone!!
Good option
First time playing Congleton GC, will definitely be back. Course was nicely set out and a good test for both new & experienced golfers, nine holes with different flags for front & back when playing 18. The course was well maintained, fairways nice & short, greens well manicured. Spoke to the club secretary who was super friendly and took time to give some hints and tips for various holes. Was in a hurry so didn’t get to the nineteenth hole,
Great course
Really well maintained course, greens spot on and tee boxes spot on too.
Interesting and challenging course
9 hole x 2 but back 9 are played from white tees to white flags which makes for an interesting and challenging course. Course was in a very good condition even though we played on a very rainy day. Pace of play was good. Staff were very friendly. Hats off th Glynn fir showing us around and talking us through the first 3 holes. Will definitely visit again
Good game of golf at Congleton golf club
We played 18 holes in nice spring conditions with winter tees and several of the greens now in play. The course was wet in a few places so we had to move our balls 3/4 times to better lies. It was quit when we started, due probably to the corona virus but got busy surpriseingly halfway through our 18 holes on this 9 hole course (we just made it through before a society event started). The course is challenging with lots of serious undulations and tight spots. That said it is still a 9 hole course, so tees and greens the second time rou d don't have much variation. All in all an enjoyable game of golf was had.
