Good value

Course was in good condition, fairways well cut and greens consistent (slow). Course was empty when we played so no issue with slow play. The layout is slightly eccentric and not very well signposted. We struggled on a few holes to find our way to the next tee. Most of the holes are relatively short, so good opportunity of hitting approach shots with mid irons or less. Two very nice par 3’s with very elevated tee boxes - great fun. All in all fairly priced at £30. Not a track which will be memorable but a very nice afternoon of golf.

VALUE FOR MONEY

I played with my son on a Sun afternoon at a cost of £40 per person. We were very disappointed in that the tee areas required mowing and the fairways were extremely inconsistent varying from total bare lies (cut to short) to second cut of rough when in the middle of the fairways. The cost was not worth the money. In saying all above the greens were very receptive and ran true. True cost of playing in my opinion would have been £25.

Love this course

Although I live in Shrewsbury this is my course of choice locally. I’ve only played it 6 or 7 times but each time I’ve enjoyed it more.

I find it a very interesting course , well laid out with some great views and holes. It’s always been in excellent condition and has never been over busy when I’ve played it And friendly people, both staff and golfers. Food is great too!

The fact I shot my best ever score here (81) also helps !

Proper golf course

Played here a few times now and must say that this is a proper golf course. Excellent greens with true roll, really well cut fairways, good tee off boxes, good layout and a good variety of holes. Definitely one of the best courses I’ve played in the Staffordshire area and very well reasonably priced too. £20 for a twilight time which compared to some of the courses around here is an absolute bargain.

Truly a hidden Gem

I know the words hidden gem appear often for golf courses but this is so true of Market Drayton, the course layout is fantastic, a true challenge and the par 3 15th hole is stunning, greens were in top condition for the time of year and they were true, we will definitely be back
