About
Melton Mowbray Club has been in existence since 1925 and provides a friendly and comfortable clubhouse with bar menu's and full catering is also available. The professional and his staff are available to help with golf equipment from a well stocked shop or lessons on the practice area and putting green.
An easy walking heathland course with many trees lining the fairways. Straight hitting and careful course management will always be rewarded as well a deft touch around the closely guarded but receptive green.

Didn't know until the 9th hole that holes 10-13 were closed
Putting Lottery
Greens (all 18) had been tined and sanded the week before and had not been rolled, so putting was a complete lottery. By the third, we'd decided a gimme was acceptable within a club length of the hole, it was that unpredictable. I know they have to do it, but all 18 holes in one go? Fairways were average, well cut, however lots of clumps of cuttings around. Rough was manageable though a couple of balls just couldn't be found.
Nice course..shame about the members
Overall a well maintained course . Excellent value for money
However pace of play was slow and the group behind were using me as target practice driving off a few times when it was clearly unsafe to do so..also bit dissapointed in a group of members using every avalible obscene word loudly while I was on the practice putting green.
Didn't spoil a good day out.
great course
We played this course for the first time on a 'hot deal' found everything near perfect will definitely be returning excellent value for money and it rates alongside the best courses we have ever played
