Honest review
Course is nice but so busy with 4s and 3s queueing for teeing off ruined the game, many complaining about pace and sat around waiting to tee off just spoilt the experience. To have 3 groups on fairway at a time waiting to play ball just wasn’t great. First time I had experienced this on any course. Played beedles many times great experience normally.
Good greens
Good greens and course is fun to play, fairways not in great condition and quite bare, play was also quite slow aswell. Used to be a member here I think the course has lost its way a little bit, but one positive is the greens are always in top condition.
Long Hot Summer
Bearing mind the long hot summer we’ve had the course was in good condition particularly the greens had been well maintained. The fairways were rock hard which made our drives roll on for ever.
Good overall
Nice course - greens are great but fairways definitely need improving. Lack of food in clubhouse.
Busy
Very busy so when you have a beginner with you do play a little slower so we let people play through but there were also people jumping holes which then sliced ourselves up.
Avoid on a nice weekend
Up to 4 groups queuing on the Tee boxes, people sharing clubs that clearly don’t play golf - absolute chaos.
I expect to held up on a nice sunny day, that is absolutely fine but this was the worst round of golf I’ve ever experienced and had to abandon it after 9 holes (3 hours).
£35 shocker
Avoid sunny weekends I guess as it’s a free for all. Chav central
Great course
Thoroughly enjoyed the course. I’m a new golfer and found the course had some fairly simple holes but also some tricky ones.
Very open course, tee boxes in good condition and greens good compared to other courses I’ve been on.
Would bother again
Had to pay £35 each to play when arrived club shop was closed and after getting to back nine we found that that holes 12&13 where closed if we had known this we wouldn’t of played not really value for money when holes are closed maybe middle of summer might be ok but very dissapointed
Decent
Nice course. Decent greens. Bunkers ok.
Only negative would be the guy behind the bar being quite abrupt. Needs telling that patience is a virtu.
Shame about the slow play
Course in good condition and good bacon batches at the halfway house, but the fourball two groups Infront were intent on getting there monies worth by Holding everyone up behind them.
