Extremely slow
I would give the course an overall poor rating. Stuck behind a 3 ball of complete numpteys that would not let us, a very quick two ball, through. They also left the pin laying down on a green, Which made my approach shot rather tricky. After reporting to the club shop they said there was nothing they could do. Not even speed them up. As the car park is an online pay system. The 4 hours that I believed would be plenty of time to complete a round and have a drink afterwards. Turned into a 5 and a half hour round and a parking ticket. I was also very disappointed with the tee boxes. However the greens were slightly above average.
A traditional, friendly course.
Not too testing for a competent golfer. The greens were fantastic with a very good pace and smooth as silk. They had clearly been rolled regularly. The head green keeper and his staff were really friendly and everyone made us feel very welcome.
The layout is great considering its compact design. Loads of trees and bunkers to thread through.
I really enjoyed playing this course and will definitely come again.
Always a good test
Greens have always been quick but never faster than this time. Putts gaining speed around the hole and hooping out and a little 2-paced. But that's part of the challenge 👍 Fairways, rough and bunkers all in good condition, played off the whites and it was a real challenge. Price was a bit high just for us being a 2-ball, given the number of blank tee times I don't appreciate paying a premium.
Off the course the venue is not what it was sadly. After playing we went to the bar and it was a ghost town with a sign telling you to fetch assistance...errr, no thanks
Pricey
Had really good day experience however £42 per person seemed a bit expensive for a 12.12 tee off
First time and will play again
Sadly got stuck behind a three ball who didn’t know how to play or the rules to let people through.
Course was lovely and well looked after
Bunkers where hit and miss but with the heavy rain can’t hold that against them
Good value
Good price good course never have problems here would recommend it
Great twilight game
Very enjoyable late game with the feeling that the whole course is yours by the last few holes.
Definitely recommended
Tip top condition
This is probably not the most characterful golf courses to play on but it’s a decent track and the green staff have it in tip top condition. Course was busy but as a 2 ball played at a favourable place the whole way around. One recommendation is that they could do with more outdoor tables and chairs to accommodate thirsty golfers after their rounds
Nice round on a lovely day
Great twilight round at a very good price. Only fault is that summer is coming and I needed to refill my water bottle with no place to do so.
Great course. Not too hard.
Nice course. Good greens. The road isn't too loud. Really enjoyed my game.
Okay
Solid parkland course but there are better around for the price
Another great round
Booked Via Golf Now. £25 for a 2.45 tee time. We'll worth the money. Great little find.
Service.. very friendly check in and dealing with questions as the first time there.
Nets and practice green in good shape.. 1 large net with 2 spaces... green in good condition and reflective of greens in the course.
Greens on course well kept and running true.
Tee boxes and fairways in good shape.
Bunkers not bad considering no rakes due to covid measures.
Course is a tight parkland course that makes you think about the shot selection. Bunkers well places and often right in the landing area for an average hitter.
6400 yard course of yellow tees.
Relatively flat course with few minor inclines and declines.
Club house closed, but toilets and some basic refreshments available when checking in.
Will definitely be back and can't wait to play under normal circumstances to test the club House etc.
