Nazeing Golf Club

This courseis, in my opinion good value for money.

Like all courses this summer, the faiways have suffered. To combat this, Nazeing has numerous cross fairway 'cuts'. Unfortunately, these have become wide cuts which have been semi filled, in places with sand. There are however many exposed ridges on the fairways.

I hit one of these following a really good drive on one of the holes, which resulted in my ball, literally, changing direction by 90 degrees and ending up by the bushes on the right as opposed to being in the middle of the fairway.

Now that the weather is starting to change I would hope that the ground staff will look at the fairways and carry out additional remedial work.

Very enjoyable round. Driest course I’ve played in the area and in great condition considering the constant rain we’ve been getting. Green ran true,and remarkably fast. Fairways wet,but not muddy. Tees have seen some traffic,but are holding up ok. A few mats out there,but even they are in decent nik. Not muddy islands in the middle of bogs you can’t put a tee in. A very friendly club,and a fun course to play.

Nazing is a gem of a golf course, Very well designed course and well kept with watered greens and tees, I enjoyed my game there very much and would go back again in the future. Gary

Course very good condition. Somewhat pricey but not overly expensive. Bit of a hold up pace of play but overall took 4 hours so not too bad. Challenging and fun holes without being extremely difficult. Will play again

There was a massive contrast between the condition of the fairways and greens.

The greens were very well maintained and a pleasure to putt on. The fairways however were very patchy and looked short of care and attention.

It was good that there was plenty of sand in the many bunkers.

It was a hot day so the course was busy but the pace of play was painfully slow. Not helped by a number of single balls looking to push their way through when really nobody had anywhere to go due to the log jam on the course.

On the 9th we stopped at the clubhouse and had a drink and a seat out of the beating sun. After finishing our drinks we set off again and within one whole we’d caught be those in front of us again due to the slow play ahead.

Course has some lovely and challenging holes and I love the variety of the back 9.

Clubhouse is great and all facilities you could hope for are available.

At over £40 the green fee was a little steep but I’d probably enjoy coming back if I knew it wasn’t going to be so busy. Maybe they just need to manage people teeing off at the right time and stop single balls setting off at the 10th when the course is already packed. Thinking more about it maybe when the course is so busy they should stop single balls setting off at all.

Great course didn't use any amenities other than putting green. Huge greens

Excellent greens and fairways but would be nice to have signs to say where to go next but overall a very enjoyable course to play and will definitely play again

Lovely course. Some really nice holes.

The staff at the pro shop was very friendly and welcoming.

Has a driving range, practice chipping green and practice putting green.
