New Mills Course review
Played New Mills for a 2nd time , course split into two 9 holes. Although in peaks surprisingly not to hilly. Some nice different holes, especially par 3,s , great little course value for money , great views.
Played a lot worse courses based on money . worth a round..
Excellent round in the rain
First time at New Mills and will be back. Split over two distinct halves the holes were of a wide variety with some really unusual “signature” holes. Course was in fantastic condition. The first 9 were more forgiving with the wayward shot whereas more accuracy was needed on the second 9. Really good course and had our first pints in the bar for over 4 months afterwards. Highly recommended.
Spectacular views fun course
A great course to play with a range of interesting holes. The views on a clear day are spectacular especially of Kinder. Very friendly welcoming and helpful staff and Club members. Some very interesting par 3s particularly the 16th with its elevated tee.

Course was in great condition and after speaking to the club captain found out a lot of volunteers had helped during the pandemic, hats off to them. Terrific value for money.
New Mills
Very friendly staff and members. Course quite tricky with lovely views. It was very windy so this made it far more demanding. Will definitely play there again soon.
The peak of perfection
An interesting course, with some spectacular holes, not too long and not a ball- losing outing. Fairways and greens in great condition.Beautiful setting. Friendly welcome from pro and clubhouse.

New Mills autumn
Just played, had a great time and made very welcome. All greens and fairways in great condition. Quite a few interesting and challenging holes. Luckily I played with a partner who had been before otherwise I would never have believed the 12th Quarry hole.
Would love to play again now that I know the course layout.

Friendly fun course
Played here for the first time with my mate today and we both had a fantastic round and day.
Both staff and members were very friendly and helpful and course was great fun to play with some spectacular views.
We walked the course and felt fine afterwards as the course is not very hilly overall.
Definetly recommend this course to every golfer as I will certainly be returning again soon for another round.
Derbyshire delight
An absolutely cracking course. One when you play, you'll want to play again and again, if not to just enjoy the stunning scenery. Yet the course itself is a superb test of golf. All levels will get something from the course as it has varying challenges throughout. Some parts you can open your shoulders and get the driver out, other parts you'll need to think carefully about which club to use.
I've played New Mills quite a few times now and would recommend it to anyone.

All courses in the area and further afield would have been affected by the long period dry weather. You'll se I didn't comment on the condition, but rather the experience of playing a stunning course. I've played much higher cost courses, which have been devastated even more so by the summer drought. My opinion still stands, it's a fantastic course to experience a true test of golf, and to enjoy the stunning vista's which surround the whole course.
I played this course in July and it was in very poor condition. I cannot see any way it could have recovered in 2 weeks. Therefore I have to question the rating in the post from Wheelygolfer.
You must have played a different course to me. When I played it in July the members apologiesed for the poor condition of the course and it would not have recovered in the meantime.
