Excellent Course and Great Facilities
First time I played Normanby Hall and what a beautiful course and setting. Lots of wild life, babbling brooks and little streams. Its matured lovely seen as though it was only built in 1973. My only build would be to pre-warn people about some of the fairways. Looks like you are mid-changes on some of the back 9 and TBH, after driving they are pretty unplayable. We saw a lot of others just skipping the hole and picking up their ball to move on.
The greens we're really saturated with water, even those on a higher level we're sodden which meant everything was really unpredictable.
But all in all we had a great time, even if we had to beg for a pint at 3:58pm lol. But great time all in all.
Great, testing course
Some winter greens which were bad.
Some excellent challenging holes
Great facilities/clubhouse
Good layout and well drained/dry for time of year
Normanby hall
Excellent course that really makes you think about the hole off the tee great winter course that keep you out of the house all year long
Absolute Shocking
I booked on the Golf Now app 1Golfer £9 which at the time thought it was a steal !!! How wrong was I !! I turned up 10 mins before my Tee time went into the Pro shop and was told I’d booked in with a party of 3 to make up a 4 ball ??? When on the booking it clearly stated 1Golfer . The Pro in the shop said it was ok to play on my own as it wasn’t that busy . Which was a total lie . Got to the 1st tee and tee’d off at my set time . There was a 2 ball in front which I caught up on the 3rd and I asked if I could join in with them which they kindly accepted. Proceeded along with the said 2 golfers which 1was a member . Got to the 5th hole and it just looked like a free for all Golf course !!! The fairways 4/5 of the holes was in absolute terrible condition with large sections cut out of the fairways leaving just bare mud . Absolute shocking for a Golf course that was so good last time I visited a couple of years ago . The amount of people on the course was an absolute joke . Obviously no tee times were adhered too because of the wait times on the tees . The straw that broke the camels back shall we say was a 17 minute wait on one tee !!!!!!!!!!! I left after only playing 6 holes in total disbelief!! This is such a shame because it does have the potential to be a really good course . I would have much rather spent £9 down the range if I’m honest and WILL NOT be returning any time soon . Please if your a half decent golfer don’t waste your time or money . Oh and I know it’s a municipal course but there are levels !!!
Toughest Course in North Lincolnshire
Every year I make time to play Normanby in the hope that I might this time get one over the course and make my handicap. This time I didn’t again.
But I will be back as the challenge is too good to pass up.
Normanby Hall Golf Course
Green and fairways kept in excellent condition , some interesting challenges, I seemed to like visiting the bunkers this time LOL
Only bar open when we finished round so cannot comment on facilities.
Enjoyed our round. Party of 4 balls in front so a bit slow. Suited us as we did not know where the next holes were. Unfortunately the people behind were not so considerate. Hit balls through us on the fairway.
Challenging course but good
Good course well looked after as always and with a friendly atmosphere would highly recommend
Gilf
Course in very good condition greens good would recommend to any standard of golfer
Happy with that
This was my first time playing Normanby and what a really good course it was. Very picturesque, well kept. Staff and local members were friendly. The course was testing without the course knowledge but I liked that, made you think about your shots and plan more. I will definitely be returning for another round.
Normanby Hall golf course
Fantastic greens, the three of us that played are fairly new to the game all of us have 30 or higher handicaps but this course offered us a challenge and stunning scenery
Good course
For a municipal course very good. Only negative are the bunkers, they need bit of sand topping up.
Normanby Hall golf course
A fantastic course for all level of golfers brilliant place to play
I’m not a member here but play regularly. Maybe you need to understand how Golf Now works before blaming the golf course for your misunderstanding. Reading of the T&Cs you tick you’ve agreed to state this.
Maybe also ask the question of the fairways. I went Saturday and these have been repaired extensively now the cold weather has lifted and are in good condition after a big hit by pest damage.
worth a visit all day long, was brilliant this weekend
