Great course and great people
First time playing a course, everyone very welcoming and supportive. Course very well kept.
Golf game 3 ball
Very friendly staff first 3 fairways a bit muddy but considering amount of rain in Jan Feb undersatable
Greens really good condition . Unfortunately we had a three ball in front who where slow and didn’t offer to allow us to play through even though we were waiting on last 9 holes
Wet & slow
Played 1st 7 holes twice, course was very wet, hence the trolly ban, which I totally understand and agree with, pace of okay was slow really overbooked, course was very muddy, but greens were still very good, which really surprised me, groups I front of us were great had a laugh with them and chatted on tee boxes, unfortunately was spoilt by group at back of us, bombi g balls at us, we play to a good pace but I do respect the group infront, on 1st hole I hit my 5iron to where they hit driver, we were therefore waiting for them to hit their 2nd shots give them 50-60yards then playing, we couldn't go anywhere it was to busy for groups to let people through, so you play to that pace, but the bellends behind us didn't!! Ruined it for us, so we didn't play 18, we stopped walked back to 1st and played front 7 again, when we got to tee box their were already 3 groups waiting, one who had exactly same tee time as us!! 🤯🤯
Best round of the year
First time playing and wasn’t disappointed. Lovely course.
As wet as you would expect in November, but no winter mats required and no temporary greens.
I’m told the greens are new, and they were excellent.
Didn’t lose a ball, shot 5 under my handicap, and finished with 2 birdies.
And even better, I finished with the ball I started with!
Will definitely return!
Cave castle
Greens excellent, rest of course very dry and hard all water hazards dry ,would play totally different if conditions were wet.
Easy walking course. Played as a 3 ball ,let 2 different singles play through, what a mistake they were so slow it was ridiculous. Bunkers raked and full of sand.
Would recommend playing this course some very interesting holes
Great course
Very friendly staff in club shop, course in great condition
Great summer evening
The course was excellent, and the greens were very nice. I look forward to playing again next week
Shambles
£40 for a round and 5 or 6 of the greens are in awful condition, should of been half the price at most, will not be going back any time soon.
Cave Castle
Really enjoyed playing this course; nice layout with good variety. Pity winter green were still in play on 5 holes but given the weather that was understandable. One thing to note when playing here is that in many cases there is considerable distance between the greens and the next tee; not an issue for ourselves but it does add quite a bit of walking distance to the round
Cave Castle
Good challenge, lot of work going on , few temporary greens, when finished it will be a great course looking forward to playing again
Very nice course
Probably not the ideal time to play in October,
Was a little bit wet in places, some greens were closed due to work done on the drainage, but was assured that this was the last phase and would all be playable when completed.
Looking forward to going back when all greens are open again. I am considering joining as a member.
