Lovely day for golf. Course is immaculate. Lots of groups playing so waiting at times, but nothing excessive.

Not a great welcome in the clubhouse, ignored by two staff members but a third was lovely

Bizarre experience on 18th. Person came walking on the fairway stopping us playing just as we looked to play 160 yds to the Green to shout at is whether if we had seen someone overhitting a ball into the patio by the clubhouse.. We hadn’t

It transpired that he was a barman from the clubhouse. No apologies or explanation and then walked back down the middle of the fairway blocking our ogress again. I played a shot as he went to left of Green that was a good 60 yards away from him and he turned and shouted something to me.

Obviously very poor that someone didn’t own up to the shot on the patio but he was very rude and should have waited for us to play to the Green before asking us his question!

The course is well maintained, good layout and even though it's a short course it has a few holes that offer some nice challenges. Lots of par 3s, good greens and would happily play it again if I'm in the area

Lovely little course suitable for beginners but constantly waiting for every shot. Felt very oversubscribed. Gave up after 14 holes which took 4 hours.

Great course. Challenging for all. Plenty of hazards. Tight fairways. But very enjoyable. Fairways weren’t to muddy the greens were almost immaculate apart from the odd pitch marks. If you’re a big hitter some of the par 4s are reachable. Some great par3s over water. Definitely worth a round if you’re in the area

One of the best courses I’ve played in the uk (South African) and really surprised how good it was in the middle of winter.

Everyone in proshop and club house were welcoming and very friendly, excellent greens and considering large volume of rain rest of course was fine also. Nice par 3s although a lot of them, but an interesting and dffferent style course

Course conditions in winter were better than other courses in December. Greens were in excellent condition. Lovely to play

Played here on Sunday and was really impressed with how well kept it was.

Greens were great and fairways exactly how you want them especially this time of year

Was please to see the course in great condition for the time of year. Fairways were firm and rolled and the greens were excellent true and quick. Only downside is green keepers not collecting the leaves

Beautiful course in great condition . Par 67 with 7 par 3s and 2 par 5s. Makes you think about your tee shots on most par 4s. Greens are large and in great condition and different levels. Had a nice English breakfast and coffee before the round it was a bit pricey. Staff in the clubhouse were brilliant.

Had a tee time booked for 11:10am so was shocked to see 7 lads walking over to tee box at 11:04 as it goes they’d booked for the Sunday but the lady in clubhouse “managed to squeeze them in”.

Resulting in us standing next to the tee box for 14 minutes.

This then had a knock on effect for the rest of the very slow 4hrs 30 minutes round due to it already being slow on the course ahead already and the addition of 2 groups that played half the holes as one 7 ball.

No apologies from clubhouse or staff members, and the response was come inside and get a refund before we teed off having mentioned that we were waiting 14 minutes to tee off.

Poor from management and staff won’t be returning

This course is fine & pleasant to play in the Summer but a waste of time in the Winter & i probably won't return until early next Summer. This is because it gets way too muddy & wet here in the Winter. Despite the fact that it hasn't rained much in the last few weeks my golf shoes & trolley wheels were clocked up almost straight away

Also if you miss the fairway or green it's pot luck in the rough whether you get a half decent lie or your ball sits on mud .

Overall It just doesn't drain well & the fairway grass is a bit thin & of poor quality.

The other issue is that half a dozen or so tee boxes have been uneven for years & they just don't address this issue which would be fairly straight forward to rectify .Sometimes the ball is above your feet on the tee . If they levelled the problem tees then at least it would look like they were making some effort to improve the course rather than just maintain it & this sums it up here as a course that is maintained as best as it can be under the circumstances but is not forward thinking in rectifying issues.

As another example, there is a G.U.R. waste crater down the right hand side of 17 which has been there for years .

On the positive side the greens & surrounds were well presented & the club is relaxed and welcoming.

Great greens ran true fairways were a lot of worm casts but in playable conditions. Slow pace due to the amount of par 3s and short par 4 holes definitely worth a try if in the area

I have enjoyed playing at this course and the condition I have found it to be in however the problem is with the amount of players they cram into a day which results in very slow play which is not managed.

Lovely course in great condition.

Not the longest but well worth playing.

Keep the ball out of the trees.

Greens in very good condition.

Fairways likewise.

The only negative is the range is not very good.

£10 for 70 balls on a basic mat with no trackman etc is expensive.

It’s a small par 68 course but that doesn’t stop you enjoying a round. It maybe be a short course of less than 5000 yards but it tests the medium to high handicappers. The course is in excellent condition with the putting surfaces true and precise. Course layout is well marked which is fortunate as without the markers you could get lost. All in all an enjoyable place to play a round
