Great round of golf with good company on a lovely course

Nice parkland layout but course was very boggy due to some heavy rain. Would return to play in summer

Really enjoyed this course, knew it was going to be good when the sat nav said there was still a mile and half to go and we’d just driven through the entrance gates! The settings is delightful and the course itself very pretty. It’s challenging, with a bit of water and bunkers, but the rough is pretty forgiving and you can go a little wayward off the tee without being punished. The greens were very slow, but in pretty good condition. All in all amazing value and looking forward to returning.

No doubt this would be a great course in the summer months but it really doesn't handle the winter weather. Society 4 balls very slow and reluctant to let a 1 ball through annoyingly. Greens very average

The greens need some love, a tonne of unfixed pitch marks, needs some work on them. They had too many people on the course, was pretty slow and no course management

20 of us were on a 3 day tour and wanted an ‘easy’ loosener as our first round, Orchardleigh was perfect! Very open and forgiving but a good test to get started, everyone enjoyed it. The only negative was the catering at the clubhouse was poor, we arrived early expecting full breakfast options but there was only sausage or bacon baps, and the sausages were horrible! Similarly after the golf there were some dried up nasty sausage rolls in a warm display cabinet. But our main reason for going was the golf so I would recommend it for that but stop to eat elsewhere.

Good course but not that welcoming. We found a couple of the “members” fairly aggressive without any good reason.. So much so that my partner complained to the management.. Conversely, the Bar staff were brilliant.

Beautiful location.

Our tee time was 10:50 and didn’t get to tee off till nearly 11. The pace was sooo slow it nearly took 4 hours to get around.

The course is nice and had some fantastic layouts on some but the fare ways weren’t cut.

Will come back and hope it’s faster
