Great layout and views. Not too difficult
I really enjoy the course. Have played there 8-10 times times. Only bad thing was the greens were recently sanded. Not in good shape. Bumpy and inconsistent rolls.
I believe definitely worth the drive out from Bristol / Bath.
Courses to try or not
Really enjoyed game today greens not the best I’ve seen fairways a bit long but for£15 each great value and it’s still early in the year to get course up to standard
Good value and great scenery.
It’s not the longest course and pace of play was sometimes painfully slow but with tight fairways and challenging greens it was a good test... Overall a nice course.
Very dissappointed
In the past l have liked this course but the Management have to do something about slow play. I have never followed two groups of four so slow and so inconsiderate on any course anywhere else. I teed off at 10.15 so they know who they were.
With so many courses available l will go elsewhere until slow play is sorted and l suggest everyone else does so also.
Very pretty course
Very pretty in autumn with lots of mature trees - some in the way! Undulating parkland with wide fairways lots of bunkers but still allowing long drives.
A few tricky holes. Some water but not too awkward. Lovely course. They remove the leaves so nice to play in autumn and well drained so not too wet.
We always have to rush as there seem to be good players there who don't hang around.
Great course
Have played here countless of times and will keep going back! Course is a great, green are kept well apart from autumn time they are covered in leafs so can get abit annoying putting! Apart from that there nothing wrong with the course it’s. My only problem is slow play, I think that mayb instead of 8 minutes between groups they should give a little long especially when you tee off after a competition but apart from that would recommend this course to everyone and anyone.
4th time to play...will continue going there
Some great views. Good layout. Greens can be a bit poor on a couple of holes.
Overall a nice round.
A bit off the beaten path, but worth the trip
Really enjoyed the course layout. Open enough that you can recover...but some blind shots....mature trees....nice elevation changes.
Great Parkland Course
Due to the prolonged dry spell, the course did not look its best. However, most of the tees were OK, and the greens fast and in good condition.
The course is well designed with a variation of holes and landscape with plenty of trees and a few water hazards,
The fairways are wide and do not punish an errant shot which meant I did not have to spend much time looking for my ball.
This is a popular place to play golf, and certainly one of the better courses in the area which I intend to return to.
Lovely course well kept greens
The course is well laid out and easy to follow. Plenty of challenges with water hazards and well placed bunkers and the occasional unique feature. The greens were in excellent condition.
Good course considering wet conditions
Played off regular tees and regular greens, despite being cold wet and rainy. Great holes, providing enough of a challenge. Nice bar with a friendly atmosphere
Great course
The course was very interesting and a good challenge with some good par 4s,it was a bit wet between greens and next tee but we had a lot of rain the last few days, the fairways and greens were very good.
Orchardleigh
So slow! Over five hours for our four ball. Held up by two sets of four balls who started about half an hour before us. Rough was too long so very difficult to see or find balls.
HAVING PLAYED THIS COURSE A FEW TIMES WE FOUND THE CONDITION OF THE GREENS ON THIS OCCASION DISAPPOINTING . ACCEPTING THE AUTUMN 'FALL' DEBRIS AND LEAVES WERE WIDESPREAD ALBEIT LITTLE WIND. NO BRUSHING HAD TAKEN PLACE AND THE SURFACES WERE UNEVEN AND BADLY NEEDED ROLLING IN MANY PLACES.
Had to come back !
Second week in a row playing this little beauty.
Took three golfing pals along who had never been here before. They all agree that the course is a great challenge and want to come back again!
Love this place. It's really what a great golf course should be.
