Orchardleigh Golf Club

Myself and my dad booked to play orchardleigh because we had played there before and had a good day but yesterday we were very disappointed with the way the course was mismanaged, we had an earlier tee off as there was a gap in the groups and waited for the 4 ball in front to play their second shots before we started. As we walked to our ball we could see the group had not reached the green when we were ready to play our second shot. This slow play continued on the second hole as we had to wait 7 minutes to play our 3rd shot to the green, by the time we were on the 5th green it had taken us just over 2hrs to get this far and decided to walk back to the club house as to finish our rounds would take around 7 hours. Not what we were looking for. The club did not check for slow play or interested in what we had told them. I have never seen this before and at my club they go and monitor the course regularly.

Good course, good facilities, greens weren’t perfect but overall feels like a much more premium course than the £25 fee - well worth a visit

The course was in good condition and very busy. I love the setting and the feel of the whole set up and always enjoy playing here.

paid £12 for 18 holes at 1630 so good value. First nine very busy but not too many hold ups. Back nine much quieter and challenging. Bunkers absent of much sand and a couple were waterlogged after heavy rain the day before. Greens mostly good but a few were pitted. Overall a nice course and good value.

Course not bad, greens were in poor condition and rough too long

Lovely set up. Beautiful views. Great all round course. Play was slow but the 3 ball in front wasn’t great. Would highly recommend.

Amazing course, very well kept considering the ever changing conditions the last few weeks.

Everyone we encountered were great, even the blokes I nearly sliced a drive into.

What a course, beautiful entrance, a definite long and winding road.

Greens on excellent condition along with the rest of the course rough is cut short so helpful for finding stray balls.

1st 9 holes quite flat, 2nd 9 much more hilly, just bear in mind.

Overall great first impressions of this course and can't wait to get back there.

What an entrance, course has an open layout with little deep rough inbetween so little time wasted looking for stray balls. Beautiful scenery, mature trees, fantastic greens. Would love to add it to my golf society diary.
