Novelty Worn Off
Played Outlane once before and loved it and had been meaning to go back to play again. we played in a 2 ball, hired out a buggy and the staff on site were very helpful at all times. It has been raining on and off for 3 days before we played but you wouldn't tell due to the course being freshly cut on the day we played, it looks amazing and the greens were so firm they caught me out with some bounces.
However i would say the novelty of the course has worn off immediatly while i was going round. Too steep of an angle on the middle fairways mean even good shots just roll and roll and roll and the amount of blind spots mean you get punished for even hitting good shots, can be very frustrating. The iconic hole are still excellent, just a shame the middle holes where there is around 5 fairways all next ot each other just becomes a bit tedious.
Wont be rushing back.
What a Gem
Was looking for a course halfway in terms of distance for our regular 3 ball group, Found Outlane on GOLNOW and what a gem of a course!.
The ONLY downside is how much of it at times is uphill, took some getting used to with my trolley and my legs certianly felt it but that is the only downside.
Friendly staff and other golfers, the course itself is exceptional and clearly well maintained throughout, a standard fare first 3 holes serve as a solid start to where the real course starts, Holes 4 & 17 are incredible long drives over out of bounds tree and woodland areas make them instant standouts.in between them there is some nice little Par 3's and some long 4's & 5s, with some over blind crests and corners. The course can be quite challenging due to majority of holes' fairways being on a sideways gradient meaning you can be punished fairly regualry for errant shots, some steep drop offs as well is a recipe for a loose ball or several!! Each hole is clearly marked and while some fairways are right next to each other, it just about feels like each hole is it's own thing.
An amazing find and for the price as well it's well worth a little futher drive than normal to play it. Played it last week, returning straight away this coming weekend!
Great course, good condition
We play this course maybe a couple of times a year and always enjoy. The greens and general course are very well kept in general, the only slight concern we had was the tee boxes look a bit dry and worn! Lovely place though and a decent test for all.

Nice fairways and greens, especially after the amount of rain we've had. Friendly staff. We'll worth the money. Will definitely play here again
Blowing a gale!
Course in great condition, if you don’t have someone who’s played it before, hole to hole and course management can be a little difficult
Booked as never played before. Pleasantly surprised as to how well the condition of the course was. Staff friendly greens nice.
Nice course. Pity about the attitude of some of its members. Club/members should think twice about arranging a comp with tee off times less than 4 hours til sunset. Lead to people becoming irate on the golf course which soured the experience of 4 full paying visitors.
Great Course
Travelled from Doncaster to play and was well worth the hour drive,Course was in cracking nick with quality greens .The course is very interesting with some quirky holes .Buggy is reccomended.
Greens not in good condition,
This course isn’t well kept, the greens were in bad condition with rake marks across them and caked in sand so we were unable to put the ball properly which is infuriating.
Fairways were nice to redeem them but just been an enjoyable course to play,
Greens in poor condition
Played course in the winter on winter greens playwd afaib today greens in poor condition overall the course looked very un kept first 5 holes ok then away from club house coyrze abx greens poor last 3 holes not worth the green fee disappointed
Great course
Fantastic course with amazing views on a nice day like we had!
Course was in great condition and some great holes which all offered something different. The only criticisms I had were some more signage would benefit first timers and some of the greens were very slow due - the grass appeared to be a very coarse grass/heather type in areas of some greens.
Course was overall in very good condition and I'd definitely play again.
