Throwing it down thursday
The course was in fantastic condition given the recent weather and weather on the day. It is challenging for someone new to golf like I am, but enjoyable all the same. The views are up there with the best. Will definitely be back
Good fun
Fun 9-hole course that I played in horrendous weather. I was the only one on and didn't see another soul.
A few bunkers GUR and a green under renovation which wasn't mentioned but didn't ruin anything. It's a fairly straightforward course for a mid-handicap and a low handicap wouldn't get too much from it but overall it's in good nick and well worth the green fee. I'd certainly come back and play on the promise of some more decent weather
Much more fun than the driving range and cheaper!
Friendly little club with beautiful moorland views and a classic McKenzie layout although it has been softened with time.
Some challenging holes particularly 2nd and 7th when played as 16th and it becomes a tricky par 5.
Not the longest course but with a bit of wind your shot placement needs to be good to open up the narrow and often tiered greens on 2/5/6/7/8.
Excellent value for £12, some strenuous walking and no buggies.
Staff and members extremely welcoming.
Early Friday Round
First time playing Marsden - opted for an early tee time - the course is challenging on some holes and ideal for confidence building on others. Tees, fairways and greens in excellent condition - testament to the on site team’s hard work. Will definitely go back again.
Lovely course.
What a beautiful spot this is on the day we went it was red hot and a bit of a climb but absolutely gorgeous scenery all around.very friendly people on and off the course and a lady green keeper who was doing a great job nice to see.all in all a very nice day in a lovely part of Yorkshire.
Tried it !!!
I'm not a fan of 9 hole courses and unfortunately this course didn't change my mind .Great clubhouse with friendly staff and members the course is very hilly so nearly all holes are downhill or uphill i suppose the price paid was good value but walked off after 14 holes as we knew what was to come and that is the problem will suit some golfers just not for me .
Lovely Little Course.
Great Little Course.
Considering the recent dry spell we have had the greens where in decent nick considering more affluent clubs within a few miles where not as good.
Will definately play again.
First time at the course
A lovely course to play really enjoyed the sencery was beautiful friendly people on the course two lads let me join them on the 9th hole the staff we really polite and helpful in showing me the course

Prakash Bhojani
all fine no problems and hills learning good and goats are looking walking love
Poor value for money
The pictures of this course on golf now was definitely not what we came up against course was rubbish paid £50 for 18 holes for 2 of us let me tell you parts of course was under maintenance or what ever you could call it they was mentions of Augusta the legendary course let me say it’s nothing like that if it was the same man who made the golf course he must of been on drugs or drink left dissatisfied
A Good Test of Golf
A well looked after course, although some of the greens had suffered from the recent rain. The course provided physical as well as golfing challenges making for a very enjoyable experience. The fellow golfers on the course and all the staff were very friendly. Would recommend and play again.
Great views
This is a lovely nine hole course that was spoilt by the semi rough being left too long. For those of us who can go off the well cut fairway, you can easily lose your ball and ruin your round just off line. The crossing of several fairways at one point slows play. No bar or food service when we visited.
