Slow slow slow

I wouldn’t be playing this again, a 4 ball in a few groups in front of us slowed the day to the point that 4 people behind them from differing groups quit playing by the 11th, we caught said group who spent 20mins looking g for a ball, wouldn’t let play pass and picked up at least 4 of our balls, at that was them walking back a good 60/70 yards to pick it up. Then on the 18th sat on the green to stop our play. Never experienced such shocking behaviour

No course management

We paid for 18 holes, but left half way down the 10th. Pace was slow for first 9, over two hours for a 3 ball, but on the 8th hole we noticed a new four ball ahead who had obviously just joined the course from the car park. On the 10th we then noticed a 6 ball ( yes 6) ahead of the new four-ball on the 11th!, We had also seen these boys in the car park when teeing off the 8th. No proof given to us at the clubhouse to prove we were paying customers and no checks on the course for those just joining from the car park. Waste of money!

Absolutely shockingly poor

Terrible golfing experience at Panshanger and definitely won’t be going back there again. Awful standard of golfers there who play with absolutely zero golf etiquette and who made the entire round of golf a complete and utter waste of a Sunday afternoon. The course itself is no better and is in poor condition for this time of the year, it looks and feels really shabby with lack of maintenance on fairways, greens and tee boxes throughout. Having morons on buggies racing around behind us, hitting balls in our directions without a care in the world and not even bothering to call out when they headed in our direction was simply disgraceful. The 3 ball in front of us deciding to wait on every tee box until the group of players had actually finished the hole before they even considered teeing off made the round so ridiculously long and frustrating for us as we were then caught in the middle of their tardiness and complete disregard for pace of play and the group of mad pot smoking speedy gonzalez yutes behind us , basically sandwiched and trapped between 7 of the worlds worst golfers known to man! The course is also in terrible condition therefore I can score this no better than I have done which is a big fat NIL

Thorough Enjoyable but tricky

I played my best ever golf getting 38 points but this was a course that made you think about your shots to take advantage of the numerous sloped fairways both up and down and sideways. Course was in generally good condition considering the very dry weather. I really enjoyed it.

Slow play

Two ball in front of us were let through by a three ball however three ball were ridiculous sow even with 2 buggies

Spent time on 9 th green practising putting which was y at all annoying

Perhaps some staff out and about to speed up play would help as it’s not my job as customer to complain to other customers

Gave up after 9 holes it was that slow

Not sure I’d go again

The course design is okay. First 6 holes are very repetitive however for your money it’s not bad. However the course conditions were not good. Bad greens, dry, loads of divots, not well maintained. Pace of play on a Sunday was really poor as well. I understand it being a public golf complex and a Sunday is busy, but it took nearly 7 hours to do 18 holes! Not sure, even for £19.10, that I’d play here again.

stopped after 9

This course 25 years ago was rated in the top 3 public courses in the country … now it is in a poor state … fairways like playing on concrete , bunkers are a disgraceful condition and the greens are a 4/10 …. we stopped after 9 holes due to slow play … at the 9th hole par 3 there was 3 groups waiting to tell off ..:: total joke

Great for the price you pay.

This course is good, I always enjoy it, for a beginner golfer like myself who just wants to get out and play golf but don’t want to have to pay £40-£60 a round this is perfect.

The club house is nice and serves nice pizzas. The club shop there’s not much going on in there.

But overall great fun to play and at a decent price.

Good but needs some TLC

First time at Panshanger.

Had a great breakfast before our round.

Found the course interesting, some memorable holes but let down by the overall condition. The greens were on the whole good, as were the fairways. However a number of the tees and bunkers weren’t in a good state of repair.

Having said that, for the price on a bank holiday it was pretty good. Pace of play wasn’t bad and the staff in all areas were friendly and helpful.

I’d play it again.
