A good challenge
A good challenging course that tests your approach play and has plenty of open fairways.
This is the second time I’ve played it (last time was very wet) and the ground was decent. Well maintained fairways so well done to the groundsmen and green keepers.
Course closed
Due to heavy rain and flooding course was unplayable, staff excellent and offered to move our booking, couldn’t give a date so told us just to phone when ready to book and they would slot us in.
Pleasant Course to play
I have now played it 4 times. Always enjoy it. Has a great mix and holes and has nice surrounds as you plot your way around.
Good value for money course...
Great deals on tee of times at this course. For the price you pay an enjoyable morning /afternoon. Good opportunity to score as fairly open.
a really great course
was very surprised how nice the course was, after reading some reviews and playing high end golf courses was really impressed and not at all what I was expecting, greens and fairways in top condition will be defiantly going back soon, it's up there with some of my favourite courses
Slooooooow
Ok so Paultons is not amazing but what really makes for a disappointing round is 4 idiots playing very slowly in front, losing many holes and not letting us (also a 4 ball) through. They were even running around to leave a green so knew they were slow but then complained to US for being too close to them!!
A nice day
My brother and I had a nice relaxing day playing on the 18 hole course will definitely go back again and again.
Good Course
Nice course to play with friends, not too difficult but challenging in places. Course was in good condition for time of year (Dec) but it was very wet and boggy underfoot in places. Would recommend if you can play at a discount - definitely not worth full price at nearly £30.
An October round
The course was in excellent condition considering the time of year. There had been a lot of rain on the previous days but the course played well and the greens were playing true and at a good speed. All in all this was a very good experience and a challenging round of golf
One over par
Although I played a very poor round I still enjoyed it, staff were friendly and helpful. The course is quite bland in places but there are several holes which were interesting and well planned. An easy walk with no massive hills to climb but enough slopes to make it challenging. The biggest problem is the lack of signage to the next tees, my friend and I became lost several times with pathways that forked in several directions with no indication of where to go. I initially drove past the course off the main road because the road sign was so small and directly at the junction. Greens were slow but in good condition, bunkers were well kept with nice soft sand with minimal stones, fairways were a disappointment though with quite long grass that had just been flattened, I suppose for the time of year (October) this was a way of protecting the course. Won't be in a rush to return here but would like to play it again next summer. I'd rate it as pretty average all round.
