Paultons Golf Centre - Championship Course

The course has a good layout, but unfortunately it was very slow play and the greens are well below standard quality.

Course has a good veriaty of different holes, lay out is good ,bunkers need some work sand is solid some gur but course fairways are in good condition greens have improved from my last visit looks like improvements are in progress

Late morning tee in good weather. Fairways in decent order, as were majority of greens. Bunkers really poor. Pace of play was slow at 4hrs twenty minutes with hold ups at every tee . Mid week golf should be quicker but no course marshalls to get things moving.

Entered the course up a long beautiful driveway. Pulled up to a nice looking club house and driving range

Paid only £20 for 18

Couldn't see a course map anywhere so asked the kid in the shop to which he couldn't find one and not even printed on score cards?!

Anyway we kicked off following another group. First hole green was OK but that's where it ended. Almost every green was like the face of the moon. Divots and imperfections on every one

And almost every bunker GUR.

The course was so nice to look at, varied holes with great potential, robots cutting lawns all around.

Based on the overall I won't return. Its June ie season is well under way and this is not acceptable even for the price

My playing partner was equally unimpressed

Fairways could have been cut better. Greens aerated but still poor. Most bunkers GUR in a very poor state.

Will not return until vast improvement

Greens were shocking there was no chance of hitting a putt in a straight line. All bunkers overgrown and GUR. Absolute waste of money my recommendation would be to spend the extra 10-20 pounds and go somewhere else or even the driving range would be a better experience.

The greens are just way to bobbly the ball had many unpredictable turns and bounces due to this, some parts it looked like it was torn apart! Group of kids hit up behind us 4 times yelling fore once almost hitting myself and dad. Extremely slow, group in front very stubborn and wouldn’t let us play through!

Course in good condition bar. 1 green which was very rough and sandy .

Course is a proper challenge but very playable for all standards

Potential to be a great track but the greens were really poor. Among some of the worst greens I’ve seen this year.

Have played this course multiple times and have always loved it and thought great value for money. However played it yesterday and the greens look like they've all been the victim of a mortor strike. Huge chunks blown out of them, hardly any grass, more sand than anything else.

I'm assuming paultons must be having some significant issues leading to this drop in standards.

I wouldn't have minded if I had been warned and the green fee adjusted accordingly but no mention of the sorry state of the course when booking.

I just count myself lucky I'm not a member. Unless you're happy playing 40ft gimmes I would avoid this place until they sort themselves out.

In the past this course has been excellent. The standard of green keeping is currently terrible. What a shame.

Course was in great condition compared with my last visit ,only one green not in great condition same hole as my last trip months ago think its the 12th a par of 3 ,fairways were in great and all other greens good.

This was the 1st time myself and 2 friends had played here.

Clubhouse very good

Driving range really expensive £8.50 for 50 balls !!!!

OK the bad things -

Every single bunker was ground under repair apparently speaking to members been like that for 2 years totally unacceptable 😤

Lastly every green was ruined by a disease and they had tried to repair.

It was liking putting on the moon covered in sand

Complete waste of money and will never return

the course needs shutting for a couple of months to rejuvenate.

I always enjoy playing this course when I’m in the area but I do wish courses would let you know when they dress the greens before you commit.

Bit disappointed with the greens they were in poor health due a disease and the bunkers were also in a bad state mostly all unplayable. All tees open apart from the 12th and fairways in good condition.
