Penrith Golf Club

Never really got over enthused by Penrith course. Don't get me wrong, it's fine in many ways, conditions and layout good, etc though the greens had just been spiked before I got out which made putting a bit of a lottery. Depending what you're going to pay it is worth a visit. I paid £33 which in my opinion is enough, prices go higher though and I'm less convinced I'd want to pay more than that.

The course was in good condition considering the recent weather.

Played this course many times and would recommend you give it a try, great views of the lake district hills.

Fantastic views and quirky testing variation of holes. Friendly staff in shop and bar - food delicious. Greens were 9/10 apart from the 1st for some reason.

Played here in July 2023 while at Center Parcs

Value for money... Ok but nothing amazing.

Location. Just outside Penrith... On top of a hill, some nice views..but also windy so make sure you have clothes for that.

Layout. It's short but not a walkover... Need to keep the ball in play.

Course condition. I've played about a dozen courses this year and these are probably the worst I've played on. Not terrible but for July you'd have to be disappointed.

Overall worth a visit if you can get a decent price.

Friendly staff .very helpfull. Course in great condition ,met the captain and he was a credit to the club.

Decided to play here on my way home having heard good things about it, and I wasn’t disappointed it’s a fantastic course with some tricky holes and the layout keeps it interesting, it was quite slow going but that doesn’t take anything away from it being a great course

Freind back from abroad and looking for quiet round of winter golf. I'm not member anywhere anymore so had quick look on golf now. Got tee for 14.99 each. And hoped for best.

Couldn't have turned about better. Cracking day. Couldn't have got better course at this time of year. Forward tees and couple of winter greens due to maintenance but the rest was brilliant.

All staff really helpful, although no bacon butties as kitchen was out of action for day due to fixing leccy. Scones and cup of tea nice though.

Holes feel distinct from each other, some length, some dog legs and hills, great condition (greens quite slow when I got there) . Got a buggy. Pace of play good and bar menu excellent - a lovely day
