Excellent
The course was in great condition and has some really nice holes, including a couple over water. Looking forward to playing here again.
Great Value
This must be one of the lowest priced courses on tee times. Great value for 18 holes.
For time of year course little wet in parts but greens in superb condition.
Sapey in October
A good layout that has matured considering it is only 28 years old, nice design with interesting par 3's, a good test of golf that does give you a chance to be a little wayward without losing balls all the time, I would play again if the opportunity came up.
Slow day
Spacing of tee off times needs to be improved, a Society of 5 groups of 4 balls in front of us, plus a 36 hole championship which had priority.... slow day. Good course but let down by game pace and shear number of people on the day,
Amazing day
The only thing missing from the day was a hole in one.
Great days golfing
We had a great days golfing at upper Sapey the course was in great condition and the people are really friendly.
Hidden gem of a course
Fabulous little course in excellent condition apart from a few greens suffering from time of year. Pro shop no more since recent club and course purchase and booking now conducted from bar. Friendly staff coping well with extra responsibilities. All in all a great course that has plenty of features without being too demanding.
Playing Upper Sapey, with a view to join.
I have played Upper Sapey many times before, in general the course was in an acceptable condition. However there was lots of clumped grass all over the fairways and even more in the semi and rough. I have seen the course in a better presented condition, asthelically it was rough in parts. The green also looked to have been directly overseeded, thus creating lines to put acrooss, causing deviation. I will play again and give it another chance.
Fabulous course
A great course and very interesting holes of all types. Well worth another visit
Hidden Gem
Tucked away on the Herefordshire/Worcestershire border this beautiful well matured course will not disappoint, from hole one to hole 18, the fairways are very good, and the greens in superb condition, and very well maintained, i'm a 23 handicap golfer and on this occasion had a score of 94, so even for golfers of a similar handicap the course is not too taxing,
the views are absolutely stunning from plenty of positions all over the course, one particular hole, the eighth i stopped for a few moments to take in the surroundings on the green, the colours were stunning in the bright sunlight and with little imagination you could have been at Augusta national,
To think that this stunning little gem was very close to closing recently it would have been a travesty, but alas, there is new owners who will i'm sure manage the club as good as the previous owners,
Former members are i am led to believe are returning so the ambience will remain, in the clubhouse the staff are very friendly and most helpful, catering is of a very high standard and a Sunday you could have a very nice lunch , which is open to non golfers.
iv'e played this beautiful course a half dozen times or so and it gets better each time , i highly recommend giving it a go, it truly is a stunning course.
Happy Swinging.
Fantastic course
Second visit to this venue, very well kept and immaculate greens, would definitely return, highly recommended.
sapey
Course was in great condition after few days of rain will be back to play again later in the summer
Sapey Golf Course
Playing early on a Thursday is not likely to be too busy perhaps, but this was exceptionally quiet and we were not held up at al. Finished round in just over 3 hrs. The beauty of the surroundings make this course a fantastic one to if you want to enjoy the quiet farmland setting. Not a long course but some testing holes to keep you honest especially the 195 yard 13th. Friendly staff and good facilities. I would highly recommend getting off the beaten track to play Sapey.
Sapey Review
Having played this course a few times now I have to say that the course was in its worst condition that I have seen it. The greens had been given a refresh and some of the fairways were not the best. In terms of the pace of play, it was very slow going with a three ball in front constantly holding us up.
Great day out
Superb layout nice condition .will return
