Greens

I was hoping to play a nice course for the price of £36.50.

All the greens were unplayable really the greens should of been closed.

17 slow holes

Firstly the 3rd hole was closed for tree felling.

We started after a 10 groups of 4 society and our round was consequently delayed by an hour. We believe that when a large 4 ball society is playing you need to discount at least the next hours tee times and even cancel some.

The whole experience left us feeling the otherwise good experience was poor value for money.

Evening knock

I have played this course many time , you pay for what you get . Great little course . Perfect for all standards, it cheaper than the driving range for me . I have actually got better at golf. One big positive is the staff and members are friendly and helpful, not like at many other courses . I would recommend it .

A mixed challenge of different hole sjqpes and terrains, which was expected. The greens were soft but not that smooth. Bunkers could be kept a bit tidier even but then its not all perfect.

Nice course but …

The course and surrounding areas was good nice scenery first couple of holes are a bit different. The issue we had and a lot of other people who regularly play here is no one is enforcing the rules or watching out for any slow play. We had 2 groups of 4balls refusing point blank to allow any group through resulting in 8 groups waiting at each tee. 2 groups decided enoughs enough and left without completing the 18 holes.

No great but ok

Played today and course is in great condition greens were spot on. There are some nice holes here but course marking are poor for yardages. The club house and if stupidly expensive i’m sorry but who charges £4 for pint of coke that is absolutely ridiculous. Also the course charges £35 on weekends that is also too expensive for this course.

Greens the worst I’ve ever played on. Too many people booked pace of play was terrible. Would be a beautiful course without these issues.

Nice course, just not a great course

Not sure how to really explain it , other than to say the course itself is 'OK'. It was all very well kept with good greens, but just wasnt overly impressed with the holes, of all of them I would say the 8th was my favourite.

The back 9 was a little trickier as people say, but other than a few tigh holes , i think most would cope well.

One thing that was a little silly is the t design of a few holes you either have to wait or ne very mindful of others due to some being in very close proximity to others.

Amenities and staff both great, overall definitely worth a visit , just dont expect to be wow'd.

A wet afternoon at Shendish Manor

A scenic course which would have been a lot more fun to play had it not been raining throughout our round. I thought that the course was well planted with great blosum this time of year. The greens were in good condition and despite the rain bunkers were generally playable. I will certainly be back and hopefully on a dry sunny day.

Poor course management

No one checking Golfers on the course, we were stuck behind 2 sets of 3 sharing 1 buggy and 2 sets of clubs, all of them poor golfers.

Ruined the day and ruined a very nice course.
