Course needs investment

The course has lovely views. Most of the tees were on mats. Greens were some of the worse I have ever played on. Bar and amenities closed before 5 pm. Normal green fee price of £33 is excessive. Members very friendly.

Long walks between tees and not well sign posted.

The downhill par 3 is well designed and probably the signature hole.

Nice short course

Thoroughly enjoyed my round. The different tees on the back 9 make it a little more interesting than most 9 hole courses. A few tight tee shots make some of the shorter holes a little more challenging. It's fairly flat so a nice easy walk. I'll try it again in the summer.

Quirky

A 9 hole course played from different tees on a few of the holes on second 9 .

The gentleman who served us was very helpful and described all the holes and marked on scorecard where we to go , this was because there was several interesting walks between holes !

The course itself was pretty short , it was quite muddy and greens not in great nick with 2 temporary greens .

Would be better in drier conditions an interesting little excursion.

Amazing Service

1st time playing this course. The check-in operative waa very informative and advised where we should go, what to watch out for which was very helpful.

On the 1st tee we tee'd off and didn't realise some members were playing the 10th hole which merges on the same hole. We were very apologetic but again they were very helpful and said "it happens", again they gave us some very helpful advice and said follow us for the next few holes to see where to go.

The course was in very good condition for this time of year and me and my friend will definitely be returning.

Chiltern Golf at its best

The course is lovely. They have had a new greenkeeper for the past 3 years apparently and it has come on in leaps and bounds.

I played in an Inter-club match there for the first time today and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

The 2 sets of tees are sufficiently different in most cases that it doesn't seem like a 9-hole course.

The 3rd (12th) hole is a fabulous hole, short but full of character and very tricky.

It is in excellent condition and puts my own club to shame with the Tees, greens and bunkers being excellent. It is also a tight course, but plenty of room if you are sensible.

The food was excellent and nice and tasty the pasty, chips and Beans a good reward for playing 18 holes and there was plenty of it.
