Nice course

Nice layout. Good mixture of challenging and easier holes. Good condition in May. Greens very good

Biggest negative for me is the number of large trees blocking the fairway off the tee! Eg 4th and 14th where there doesn’t seem to be anywhere to hit your tee-shot. Cut them down!

Overall well worth a play

Average Round

Looking up the first hole the course looked fantastic. Nicely cut fairways and rough definition. It wasn't until you reached the greens that the course took a turn. Heavily spiked and sanded made putting impossibly slow and poor. The holes were badly cut meaning everything lipped out and nothing dropped.

As for the course it looked and played well. The only disappointing factor was the standard of golf around. Waiting on the tee for the group infront to play their third, fourth or even fifth shot before they were out of range was disappointing to say the least!!

A nice course on another day but certainly wouldn't recommend playing now or on a weekend.

Greens, what's going on?

I've always enjoyed playing Sutton Green. It's a nicely laid out course, always in pretty good condition. But what have they done to the greens? Tar like substance on every green, made putting impossible. Wont' be going back until they fix the green

Great course, value for money

Have played the course numerous times every time the course has been in great condition, as a very average player myself. The long rough in places can be tricky to locate balls but expected with terrible shots. The greens are always top notch and some of the best I have played. Although most holes are relatively straight forward for an average player the distance is spot on in terms of ability to get to the par 5's in 2. The par 4's are well designed where a couple achievable with a 280 drive some do require thought in your shot choice for a decent approach. Par 3's are a bit easy but most are lets be fair. For the money the course is fantastic, I have payed a lot more for course that don't come close to Sutton Green.

Large and perfect greens

Probably the best greens I have putted on this year. Given their large size, had lots of 20-30 foot lag puts to negotiate which ran true towards the hole.

Golf

Nice course, and in very good condition.

Not the most exciting course, with water features in strange place that will never be a hazard.

Would play again.

The weather was very wt, no one on course. Played well the drainage was working well.
