An interesting and challenging round
The course and clubhouse present very well and we found all the staff friendly and welcoming.
The course has matured well and is well kept with hazards on most holes that cause problems if you are not accurate. A good mix of water and terrain that has created many interesting holes.
We had a very enjoyable round in very good weather. The greens are in excellent condition with some challenging profiles.
Great course, Friendly & Helpful staff. A really enjoyable day
Enjoyable course in good condition
Some tricky holes and a couple where water comes in to play. Play here fairly regularly as often has good availability and is in good shape. Unusually for this course, play was slow on this particular day but I would say that is quite unusual.
Decent golf course
A long and challenging course with plenty of par 5 holes, the greens was in very good condition. I enjoy everytime I vist to play.
The layout of the course is very nice
The course itself is very nice but spoilt a bit by the bunkers. Some have very little sand lots of stones some appear to have no sand at all.
Overall a pleasant experience
Interesting course
1st time of playing the course. Staff in the pro shop were very welcoming and told us that the club house was closed for refurbishment but the halfway house was open, however when we got there it was closed. Our tee time was 14:30 and we weren’t slow in playing. When we got back to the clubhouse everything was locked up.Course facilities were poor. Not one of the ball washing buckets had any water in them
Excellent value for money
Course was quiet apart from trees being taken down on the 17th Tee box but overall very good
Decent course
Played it for second time, wasnt in as good condition as last time.
Greens bit bumpy still from aeration as not been rolled seemingly or mowed tight. A fair few bunkers wer gur, dont know why? But some were key bunkers on holes.
I paid £30 so cant complain as the course is nice layout, some good holes. Would play again but not for an expensive green fee
The course was in excellent condition and had an enjoyable day
Great track
Some challenging holes but some great birdie opportunities
Not the longest from the blue but great fun for my mid handicap fourball!!
Top Course
Excellent day spent on a course that has improved so much since I last played many years ago.
Everything was exceptional apart from the guy behind the bar at the end did not give a friendly vibe which put a damper on the overall day.
Golf outing
I have always liked playing at Sutton Green G.C it's a super layout unfortunately me and my brother Tony's visit there 28/2/2025 was a very forgettable one as the course was so muddy and squishy we couldn't wait to get off the course which was such a shame as I normally play there in the summer months when course conditions are so much better however that will be our last visit there gutted as I love the course as a whole but that is the worst I have ever seen the course.🥴👎
Not bad track but…….
Not bad course but was it worth the money for a weekend t time. There is no range, some nets to hit into but not really knowing where your ball going. A little putting green near the first t and that was it for warm up.
The course not bad, quite flat, very open but does not play well when wet. Very muddy, feet were getting sucked into ground at times but that’s expected due to water level around the course. Overall feel would be nice course in the dry and sunshine and does have challenging holes but would not want to pay near £50 for a round when I have cheaper and reasonable courses local to me
Poor
Disappointing round.
Course is in terrible condition - no fairways to speak of, very wet and muddy. Ongoing repairs to various parts of the course and greens poor. I’ve played this course before and had moderate expectations accordingly, but it was in far worse condition than expected.
Pace of play was awful - we got the first tee time after a members’ competition and had to wait on every tee - the standard of the competition was appalling. Not ideal on a cold day.
Icing on the cake is being charged £55 for a round - I wouldn’t pay half that to play a course in this condition. No offer of a discounted winter rate. Won’t be returning.
Good course for winter golf
A few wet areas and a couple of small sections of fairways roped off for repair. I like to see that they are trying to look after the course. Good news considering some courses are closed or carry only.
Greens in great shape for this time of year
Not for £50
Course and clubhouse need a bit more attention to be worth £50 in November. Very wet and bunkers are all out of action. If we’d paid £25-35 might get a different reaction. Must be tough in Surrey with the competition, but the county alone shouldn’t dictate the price.
Enjoyable course with friendly staff
Played Sutton Green for the first time along with 5 others on Friday.
Started with a friendly welcome from the bloke in the pro shop who came out and talked us through the unknowns.
Overall it’s a decent layout with plenty of variation. Not a fan of the long holes with tiny narrow landing areas (1st & 9th) but for November the condition of the course was excellent.
Hopefully Sutton Green stays open and they continue to offer reasonable green fees.
Good Course
Surprisingly good availability compared to others in the area the weekend we played. It was a wet week in lead up to playing but overall in good condition despite a few bunkers being filled with water. Pace of play was very good.
