Swaffham Golf Club

We decided our foursome would venture away from our own club as it would be full of society 4 balls. We decided on a 40 minute drive to Swaffham and were not disappointed. Warm welcome, course in good condition, good beer and company - what else was needed? Nothing!

What I like is every hole is different and you have to think which tee shot is required with which club. Course in very good condition.

Played here 3 to 4 times... Still my favourite course in Norfolk... Well maintained... Friendly staff & members and the course in really good condition

This course is kept to a very high standard, beautiful greens and fairways. Good layout of the course. I enjoyed my first experience playing on this course, which won’t be my last.

It’s not the first time of playing this course and really enjoyed tithe game, only same was that it rained on us all the time we was out, would recommend as a course to be played

We really enjoyed our round. Friendly staff, friendly members and visiting players. Actually reasonably forgiving when considering all the trees. Plenty of opportunity to hit driver, also a good mix of short and longer par 3s. Fairways were in great condition, greens were a little slow but ran true. Only watch out is the 17th was a temp green which we didn’t know so be mindful if using a gps for your distances otherwise you’ll fly the green like I did - would have been nice to know before we played. Thoroughly recommend a great value.

Played here last week and thoroughly enjoyed it so came back again already!

Glass was a little long in places but can't fault the club or green keepers as with the weather we have had it must be a pig to keep perfect.

Played with 3 friends, up from Essex, very warm and friendly greeting from the pro shop and all agreed that it was a most enjoyable round of golf, only slight fault was that the greens had been recently dressed and were playing very slow, , obviously they have to be done at some time, but we could see they would be excellent once cut

Played alot of courses throughout Norfolk and this has to be my favourite... Lovely layout and the course was in lovely condition also... Played other courses recently which were considerably more expensive and no where near as well maintained... Keep up the great work

Good condition considering recent weather

Second time back to Swaffham, fantastic course, well established and lovely fairways. However, the greens were the worst I've ever seen. Ok they had been aerated and covered in sand, but the amount of patches with no grass whatsoever, the amount of ground under repair, and just the general upkeep of them was extremely bad. There were 3 temporary tee boxes and 1 temporary green as well, at this time of year after a dry spell is very disappointing. Will return, but not this year.. shame, as love the course.

Staff helpful / friendly . Course good condition apart from greens which due to having work done where awful .Would not have booked if known.

This course is a 40 minute drive from home, this was our first visit. Paid £25 each as we got a HotDeal. Arrived and the entrance sign said Visitors Welcome so we were made to feel wanted before getting out of the truck. Man in the pro shop was extremely friendly, gave us a course guide and pointed us in the direction of the putting green, hitting net and first tee. The course flows well, signs on the tee boxes are very detailed. This course has some excellent and challenging holes. The greens weren’t perfect as have recently been hollow tined, the fairways were immaculate, and made for a thoroughly enjoyable round, will definitely be back here soon !

Played many times before but unfortunately the greens had been aerated but not top dressed so 10mm holes covering the whole area meant putting was a lottery.

Course is a really interesting lay out and fairways and rough were in good shape. I know it’s early but with no golf played in 4 months to be off mats on 3 tee’s was disappointing.

The greens though were terrible. Some were more mud and sand than green and it made putting a lottery which was a real shame as everything leading up to the green was great.

Still great to get out and staff were very friendly in greeting us as guests and amazed we got a time first saturday out of lockdown.
