Hot deal Course review Saturday 24.6.23

Very warmly welcomed in the pro shop, had a nice conversation about other courses in Norfolk! Very impressed with the course, layout was fantastic through woodland, greens were very receptive that rewarded a good putt/chip. We let a 2 ball through who then proceeded to hold us up for a few holes ( they didn’t know the rule that if you are let through by a four ball, you move quickly! ) The course surpassed my expectations, set in a lovely setting and well looked after, very friendly and knowledgeable staff in the pro shop.

Course in great condition

Lovely course with a good range of variety of holes. Course was in excellent condition.

Staff were friendly and hopefully. Gave good advice on the course.

Clubhouse had a relaxing atmosphere which was just right after 18 holes.

Definitely go back again

Swaffam GC at Easter

Swaffam did not disappoint and was a joy to play the 18 holes without any hold ups.

The first 6 holes were undergoing some ground works but this was to help the drainage and completely understandable.

The remaining holes and greens were in great condition for early April and can be a positive fit the coming Spring summer season

Thank you Swaffam GC

Beautiful course, would love to play again!

Had a great day out at Swaffham Golf Club, lovely course and enjoyed great company after joining a two-ball on the first.

The tall tree lined fairways and wildlife make this course a must play and provide a sense of escapism and tranquility.

Will definitely be playing again when in the area!

All greens where fenced off and the temporary greens where just a hole and flag in the fairway,s with more mud than grass...definitely wouldn't of booked and travelled if we knew this.

Should be advertised the current course conditions

Beautiful 18 hole course

First time playing here, I live 12 miles away and surrounded by local courses, but took the opportunity of a Hot deal From GN , 2 of us went, ample parking, nice pro shop, friendly and polite greetings from staff and clients alike, had a tasty and well priced bacon roll and sausage bap with a mug of tea, couldnt fault it, played 18 holes, lay of the land is hilly and for this part of the county its a pleasure to be on anything other than billard table flat, mixture of long Par 4 & 5 with short challenging Par 3 holes, nice and open so ideal for the occasional golfer like myself as there is room for error unlike tree lined tunnels in strips like is popular in the fens, ground was well drained , winter Tee mats in use on some areas and flags moved off most greens again for winter play so not the best time of year to rate the greens , which will make a good reason to return in the spring..

Great inland Norfolk parkland course

2nd time I’ve played here - course was in excellent condition once again, greens fast and true, bunkers well raked and consistent, fairways also well maintained. This is a really interesting course, each hole memorable and posing different challenges but a fair test for golfers of all levels. Well worth visiting for a day out.

Autumn 18

Excellent layout and generous fairways.

Greens well covered and healing from maintenance work.

Some of the fairway first cut areas were heavily laden with conkers and shells and to be expected this time of year. Would help if these were cleared to aid finding balks and speeding up play.

I’m general a great day out 👍
