Almost Ready For Golf

Greens and bunkers were in good condition but the fairways were extremely soft and lumpy…like a Sunday League football pitch.

Lots of tree felling has taken place and the fallen trees, although cut into smaller chunks, have yet to be removed.

For £28 this course is good value when properly maintained but more work is required away from the greens to get more than 3 stars

Lovely 8th

Great course. Boggy in places which is to be expected this time of year. Staff are brilliant. Overall a really enjoyable day. 8th hole is stunning.

Should not be open

A course that is apparently Inspired by Augusta, if anyone who has played Augusta or even watched the masters saw the conditions of the course then they would know that mentioning Augusta in the same breath as Telford spa and golf would be utterly ridiculous. Having played here in the summer and winter I knew what to expect for a round this time of year but the condition of the course was nothing short of unacceptable. The damage being done just by playing a 2 ball will be irreversible, I have never seen a course so wet especially on a dry day, it should not have been open and should not be opened for at least another month until the surface water has had time to drain away. £25 each to play a course in this state is nothing short of robbery.

Steep Price

Me and a friend paid £29 each for a 8:14am tee time and we’re pretty disappointed with the condition of the course. Tee box’s and fairways were completely over grown and sopping wet. Balls were plugging into the fairway and with how long the grass was, it was near impossible to find your ball. I have played this course in the summer a few years ago and remember it being a bit better. They should not be charging the amount they are for this place. With the drainage system clearly not a thing, they should think about shutting over winter months. This is a time where we haven’t had a lot of rain either…

Too muddy

Despite decent weather in the last few days the course was extremely muddy and not a pleasant experience to play

Poor condition

To be expected in the winter but losing balls regularly in the middle of the fairway (which was just rough really)

Should have been closed

Have played Telford several times but have never seen it that wet underfoot. There had been a few dry days leading up to us playing there, but the course couldn’t cope with the rain that morning.

If they hadn’t have to have catered for the large amount of societies in attendance, I’m sure it would have been closed. Avoid until next summer.

The course is very wet

In reality the course should have been closed. Fairways were waterlogged, a number of bunkers were full of water. The greens were in great condition and in the dryer months this course would be fantastic but is in desperate need of decent drainage.

Wettest course I’ve ever played!

Out of the club’s control, obviously, but we should have been given the option whether to play as, in my opinion, the course should have been closed as it was far too wet. The underfoot conditions spoilt what was otherwise a lovely day. The greens were excellent in spite of the rain that had fallen. Would be good to play it when it is dry.

Furs Time

First time playing this course was really good condition considering the rain that had be the previous week. Greens really good. Nice practice area to use before the game. Staff really friendly and helpful. Pace of play was quiet slow but given the number of people on the course to be expected overall really enjoyed the round.

Quality course lay out however the tees are in need of maintenance especially the par 3s as the course is highly used. Greens were great and there are some nice challenging holes.

Nice return

1st time played here in 38 years. Course has matured nicely greens a bit 2 paced but good.

Only concern was the state of the bunkers which looked like they had nor been raked all day

Nice to be back

1st time playing since being a Junior in the early 90's.

The course had matured nicely and it was in good condition.

Greens a bit 2 paced but could have been me.

Only criticism was the state of the bunkers which were poorly raked but this vould have been down to who was on the course that day.
