Delayed tee times
After arriving at the course we were told our online booking had been moved back by 1 hr 20mins. After driving an hour to the venue I found this totally unacceptable. I was quoted to “read the terms & conditions.”
Overall decent enough course, greens were ok but not happy with the booking system. Play was slow as I believe they had double booked the tee times.
Great Course, Great Views, Great Day
First time playing Sandford Springs. My friend and I played Parks & Woods and we will definitely come back to play Lakes. Given the ridiculously hot weather the course and specifically the Greens were in great condition. There are some easy holes, and then there are some brutal holes where course experience definitely helps (we didn't have it), but it's great for golfers of all abilities.
Clubhouse staff were helpful and friendly, barely saw anyone else out on the Course (due to heat). Only improvement would be better signage to some of the holes, specifically 12th and 13th on Woods.
Will definitely be back.
Better than I expected
First time playing (Woods and Lakes). Hilly course with plenty of water, and much more interesting than I expected. Greens were in good condition.
Agree with others than some more signage between holes would be helpful, but otherwise great course and will def be back.
An amazing course!!
Prior to our round, my friends and I had never played Sandford Springs before. But we had an exceptional experience. Everyone was friendly, including the staff and members. The course is in phenomenal condition and pace of play was really good. Will definitely be coming back here. Only £30 where I would’ve happily paid double that. Would definitely recommend!!
Sandford Springs (Parks & Woods)
Played Sandford Springs during January, despite the considerable amount of wet weather recently, the course was in good condition. Greens were very good.

Lakes and Park
Overall we really enjoyed our day here. Fairways and greens in good condition. The rough beside the fairways could have been closer mown with a first and then second cut. The Lakes loop was very pretty and a bit more challenging than the Parks. Our only real complaint was the signposting between green and next tee and on the tee boxes. As visitors, we didn’t know exactly where we were going and the course map only helped up to a point.. There were no hole markers on any of the Ladies’ tee boxes and on the Men’s they were flat stones, so you couldn’t see them from a distance. We wasted a fair amount of time going to the Men’s tee boxes double checking we were on the right hole.. Would recommend course though for an enjoyable round.
Pleasantly surprised
I usually find modern courses - particularly at hotels - excruciatingly dull glorified fields. However, very happy to say was surprised by here. We played "The Woods" and "The Lakes" and both 9s were characterful and a very decent challenge. There's a downhill dog-leg par 4 protected by a pond short of the green on "The Woods" which I though was particularly impressive. Course in good condition despite the drizzle and blustery weather. Great pro-shop too - as buggies had been cancelled due to rain gave us electric trolleys at members' price and free token for the driving range (nice to be able to warm up properly for once). Ample parking and easy to get to.
Course in great condition
Very fast and true greens. Tee boxes in lovely condition as was the whole course, which is well laid out, a good challenge and not too busy.
A fair test of your abilities
As it was our first time we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. We played the Lakes and Park 9's, each 9 having different challenges for all levels.
Lovely course, well maintained, good pace. Dry, fast greens though!
First time here, pace was good, conditions were good and even the rough was well maintained. Half way amenities open and serving. Only slight down side was the greens were very dry, very fast and hard to read.
