The Hampshire Golf Club - Manor Course

Friendly staff but the course greens were poor and some awful ! Tee boxes quite rough snd bunkers still not in play. A good practice course.

Some of these greens are completely shocking. Just dried dirt with crevices, some of them half dug up and the ones that did have a bit of grass on were completely covered in unrepaired pitchmarks.

In fairness, you can see why the members may not be too bothered. There is not one playable bunker. Most of them are solid concrete with no sand in whatsoever. That's if you can see the 'concrete' as most of the bunkers are overgrown with grass and weeds.. actually making them a better putting surface than the greens!!!

It may be cheap but you are still paying for a total load of crap. Such a shame as the layout of the course is quite good.

Had a great round until we caught a 3 ball had to wait on 5 holes wouldn't let us through

Good all round just need to bring the bunkers up to a higher level as currently unplayable

The course currently has an issue with leather jackets right now, which the crows are making a mess of a few greens which is a shame. Course seemed over wet for some reason too, a few sprinklers not being switch off correctly wan't helping. Bunkers need a lot of attention. New management need to invest in some real green keeper staff and not try and maintain the course on there own.

An enjoyable test with some challenging holes such as the 450 yard steepish uphill 13th. Had a good deal for my round and thought it was well worth the journey. Course was fairly quiet during my mid afternoon round. There are some lovely views of the Hampshire countryside to enjoy from many parts of the course

Standards continue to rise greens continue to improve fairways are nice to play off just waiting for bunkers to come back in play and flags sticks to come out

Course has improved over the last couple of weeks and the greens are getting better just the bunkers left to do when restrictions allow

1st time playing course read other reviews and wasn't expecting to much but was pleasantly surprised greens were not perfect but some nice holes over all would definitely come back

Course was in good condition and the views are lovely but I’m afraid a lot of the greens were in very poor condition which is a shame. We will come back but will check to see if the greens have improved.

Open course. Quite undulating and a couple of sloping holes that probably need to be played a few times to master. Good pace of play - no holdups. Some elevated holes which were exposed to the wind, just added to the interest.

I booked a round at the new hampshire golf club online. when I arrived I was not welcomed by the women greeting the paying visitors on arrival. she instantly looked at me and without me saying a word she shouted " have u got different trousers" because they were grey puma , before I even got to the desk, i looked at her and said yes I have black ones in my bag, she then had this angry look like she wanted to not let me on. I walked out after confirmining my round and she runs out the front door shouting again, " have you got a change in trousers" to which I replied yes again.. the Diguisting customer service she offers is vile, i actually like the course but when your greeted by a employee with horrid attitude and no respect it makes you wonder why should anyone spend their money to be greeted by an angry cold old women looking to moan at every opportunity, i was so shocked by the treatment and actually made me write this review to let other golfers know, if your looking for a relaxing round DONT BOOK AT NEW HAMPSHIRE GOLF, and I was playing alone, i will not be returning because of the treatment, i told her clearly I had change of trousers, i honestly think she has let her ego get the better of her cause she might be the owner. Your Employees Need monitoring or 're training as i have been a manager for many years and know how to treat and deal with issues. I hope you really do have a word or reply because many people will not return to play. Silly women
