Terrible tee box Photo submitted by gc1081834766 on 07/30/2020
Excellent Course
The course itself is really good, it’s very hilly but it’s both challenging and fun. The fairways are in really good condition, the tee boxes could do with rolling a little more just to even them out. The greens for the most part are pretty good, average speed. All told, this course is great value for money and you won’t regret playing here. 1 minor hiccup…the driving range is mediocre at best, the balls are so bad it hurts your hands, it’s like hitting ball bearings. Also a tad expensive, especially for what it is. But… they have a chipping green who’s is handy, the putting green is in pretty poor condition.
over crowded
We arrived 5min early to tee off, but when we got to the first tee it had at least 4 groups waiting and anther on the tee, 2 groups on the fairway and a group on the green. No members of staff on the tee overseeing this. So we took the opption to go over to the 10th which was empty at the time. once we got going we soon discovered that a compertition was also being play with numerous 2 and 4 balls playing very slowly inbetween pay and play groups which soon started a backlog at each hole ( none of the comp players were on the tee at the start) . ON finishing the round ( which we only played 9 holes of) we was greated by an unhappy member of staff telling us we had ment to wait and i would'nt of got away with it at any other course, to my replay, you are right because other courses would be more organised. The course is great and good value but greed is spoiling it. Two members of staff in club house selling drinks and cooking food but no one out side monitoring whats going on. I will be going back because its my local course but im hoping for a less crowed day.

The course is in a much better condition now than it was a few years ago, in need of some water to help the fairways and green, but a decent challenging course
Another Great Day playing golf with my sons
The weather managed to hold out till the 15th hole when the heavens opened. Still didn’t manage to damper our fun. The course is challenging enough with lots of water and hills to test most golfers. Played with both sons this time which lead to a lot of sibling rivalry. The round was just over three and a half hours for a three ball. We did have to wait on quite a few tees and fairways but that is to be expected on this course. If you’re going n no rush, this is an excellent course to play whatever your handicap. Green could do with a cut.
Great Value, Bit Basic
The course was doing well with the two weeks of really dry weather. The greens keepers were going round and putting the sprinklers at the Greens on, to keep them receptive. Sadly the two ball in front were a little slow, and we had to wait on a number of tees and approaches to the greens. If you’re in no rush, this is a taxing course for the novice but a fair test of ability for average golfers. Lots of up and down, takes full advantage of the landscape, with more than a little water. Always green times available, would recommend.
First time playing course
Sun out but 15moh wind on a fairly open course.. greens were very quick fairways were ok.. tee direction signs need improvement club house /booking in was slaow as seemed to be only 1 poor man doing it all.. food good!
Not for a beginner
Thought I would try this course as was local and the price for the round was one not to be passed up.
As someone who has only been playing for under a year, I found this course one not to be for a beginner, but then again I do not like teeing off in the winter mats.
A few more rounds and a bit more experience and I will enjoy this.
Won’t return.
Poor course conditions, unlevel temporary tee boxes, boring course design, and greens that are just flat circles. Not worth the drive, or the 20 minutes waiting in between shots.
Well worth playing
Good challenging course in good condition, quite hilly in places but great fun
Early start
The course was in great condition and even with our early start the staff were out maintaining it.
