One warm day
The course is suffering from the lack of rain but the layout is challenging in parts (I did lose 2 balls 🤣) and more forgiving in others.
Really friendly staff pointing us in the right direction for the first tee. Not very busy (teed off at 1220) so round was not rushed at all.
Rock hard, dry but good greens
The course is pretty bare and dry as expected with the dry spring and heat waves but the greens were in very responsive and pace was surprisingly consistent though a touch slow.
I've thoroughly enjoyed the round though on the day!
Will be back
Lovely greens with medium pace and true lines. Great layout with forgiving fairways on most holes. Great value for money and quiet at 8am tee time that we had. Will be back again.
Excellent condition
A lovely course with some great hikes. Soft greens in fantastic condition.
Course especially greens were in fantastic condition, staff always friendly and not expensive, sun was out Lovely day

Review
The greens make the course completely unplayable. The ball would quite literally hop over the hole.
Decent course - greens need attention
Nice challenging parkland course. Good condition generally but the greens were bumpy in places. Overall would recommend for a casual round of golf.
Vandalism has taken it's toll on the whole course...
I've played South Buckinghamshire many times over the years, but I'm afraid to say that this is the worst I've ever seen it/experienced it... Due to vandalism of the 16th and 17th greens, the grounds staff have been focussing entirely on replacing/replanting the new greens and it does seem (sadly) that the rest of the course has been allowed to go to wreck and ruin to a large degree. Greens are in terrible shape generally and the whole course just needs a bit of TLC to bring it back to it's former glory. I feel like the £34 we were charged is too much for the current state of affairs and the club should look to put in a discount due to the state that it's currently in
Mud bath
Played the course last weekend and it was a total mud bath. Fairways were full of lumps of mud. Worm casts have been brushed clear and the fairways were as long as the rough. Greens were borderline playable with approach shots plugging puts bouncing around and again big clumps of mud. Winter tee mats haven’t been cleaned and were slippy making tee shots impossible. Other golfers had Walked off after 9 holes and the pro shop even said they shouldn’t be open but the council just want to take peoples money
Awful course
Totally unplayable, fairways full of worm casts a complete mud bath greens are in a terrible condition walked off after six holes so did many others
A bit muddy
Played a pairs match here in December. Played the back 9 first which was ok for the time of year, but the other 9 was quite boggy. Probably should not have opened it. Have played the course in the summer and good for a social round with an interesting set of holes. Will play it again.
Top course neglected
From what was one of the best pay and play courses in England the course has slowly deteriorated over the last 5 years to such a sad state Probably the only medal you can award to this course now is muddiest course in England . The council should hold its head in shame to running a top club previously named Farnham Park GC , rebranding as the south Buckinghamshire and then running it into the ground . Recommend a visit in the short summer period , outside of this, avoid .
Too muddy,
Greens staff are trying hard but it is very muddy, this is effecting the greens too ,bi would wait till May before returning
Awful condition
Whole course is being played of mats the course condition is one of the worst I’ve seen at this time of year
