Well kept and overall fun to play.
Course was kept in good conditions, greens were pure, lots of par 3s. Only 1 par 5 so the course layout could be better but overall good value for money.
Good challenge
There are some challenging holes. The course was in good condition and the greens were running fast!
Poor
Without doubt, the worst course I've played(nearing 200)
Ardencote Thursday Morning Three Ball
Lovely weather! Greens quite fast and fairways good condition but really quite hard-and-fast! We allowed a couple of two balls and a singleton to play through without too much impact on our overall pace of play. A bit more expensive than other local course which surprised me! Saw no staff around, except for a greens-keeper.
Nice round!
Lovely course for average golfers
It is not too challenging but has some great holes over water
Very basic course, green fees quite high for what you get.
We used this course as a last minute, ‘meet in the middle’ two ball for old friends. We weren’t expecting the world, but left feeling that there were some really basic things that could have made everything much better. As for the course itself, it was very very dry (which I accept there’s not a massive amount that can be done about this!) and the greens had clearly been prioritised quite starkly for watering. The tee boxes were baked dry, and were VERY badly laid out in some cases, dangerously close to the previous greens. The standard of golfer catered for means that on a few holes you have to watch those behind you as you were immediately next to or off the back of the green! ‘Non golf’ things were also below what we expected for the price; when we arrived for our bank holiday 9am tee time there was nobody in the golf shop/office, which was difficult to find, as was the 1st tee with little useful signage from the car-park. We found a scorecard although this could easily have been missed. Hotel staff didn’t really help much (the main part of the car park leads you more to the hotel reception, and we both found ourselves here first, independently from each other), and it would have been very easy to turn up and play without having paid or being checked, or even given any guidance at all. There was zero drinking water opportunities anywhere on the course, either at the 1st tee or half way house. Granted you could have probably gone into the hotel but the golf course and the hotel didn’t seem ‘connected’ in any way. In all, I’ve been to much better resourced par 3 only courses, but the price for this one doesn’t add up. It was ok (at best), but we won’t be retuning.
Good little course
Only 5000 yards but enjoyable and reasonably challenging.
The greens in the main are decent, the fairways are burnt which you'd expect mid hot summer but the Tees should be better. It's about 10 minutes out of Henley and Arden and easy to find on Sat Nav. The only issue really was Slow Play, a 2 some in front didn't let us past and were waiting to hit on 350 yard holes to clear when they were only poor players. Maybe the Pro shop should emphasis to Let players through if you are only learning-that would help!!

Mr Spence
Fairly short.but nice course. Too many par 3’s in my opinion.
Has something for everyone
This is the second time we've played Ardencote in the last couple of months and it doesn't disappoint - it has enough to challenge the beginner through to the more advanced golfer ... particularly holes 6 and 9, where you're driving straight across water.
Pace of play was excellent - very few people on the course and we let one group of 3 play through.
Due to the weather, fairways & greens were running hard & fast, but we'd adjusted (?!?) by the end.
It's a flat course - straight drives & you're fine, but be wayward & you can end up in all sorts of bother.
Overall, a cracking round & great value. We'll definitely be back!
A great round
Very enjoyable round. Worried it would be a slow round given the 8:50am tee time on a warm day, but wasn’t the case. Course in good condition. Fairly simple course if you stay out of the trees. Two Great Lake holes although the 9th tee needs a lot of work.
Fairways could've done with watering due to the hot weather but overall a very nice course.
Course was ok, golf shop closed when we got there.
Course was ok, some decent holes some holes straight up and down. We got to the course about 1:30pm, pro shop was closed , couldn’t get a scorecard and no one around to help. There wasn’t a sign where or what to go. Could have just walked on the course. Unsure if this is always like this or a one off.
