6700 yards off the white tees is a great test of golf.

Course long an in good condition, tee boxes let it down, but you can see there doing their best to get them up to scratch. Slow round, but enjoyable views took your mind off of this . Definitely play again .

We played off the white tees. Brute of a course with the winds and wet conditions. No mats and all greens open. Some great holes here. Lots of long par 5s.par 3s are excellent. 3 hrs 20 mins for 18 holes was lovely. Great views across the downs from the top of the course.

Course was in great condition despite the constant rain

Very tricky to read the greens this round. Course in good condition and was not busy. Cannot go wrong for £20 each.

4c groups of 2x waiting too tee off on the 17th hole..

I booked a Sunday afternoon Tee-Time quite late on Friday and was lucky enough to find a 'Hot Deal' for £16.99. The members must have all finished their rounds before we played because the course was more or less empty...though the car park full. The conditions were perfect and, considering the hot weather, the course was in fantastic condition. Always appreciate the work that goes into maintaining this course, the greens are always nice, fairways well defined and sand in the bunkers. Fortunately some decent golf was played, with a couple of Birdies for me and a fantastic Eagle by my playing partner on the par 5, 13th. Finished it off with a post golf beer in the club house, which was excellent. Highly recommended.

Played Saturday afternoon and was waiting from the 1st tee box. Gave up after 11 and walked back. Too much waiting with tee times not spread out sufficiently.

The course is in good condition, greens very good.

Halfway house is a mess but very cheap.

2nd time I've played here this Summer and the course is in excellent condition. A few bunkers look a little untidy but that is more down to inconsiderate golfers than poor course maintenance. Greens were fast and true and holding on even longer shots. My only suggestion for improvement was that some tees were a little rough and uneven. However, that is only a minor quibble given the enjoyable layout and fantastic value for money. Staff welcoming and drink prices reasonable. Will be back.

I enjoy West Berks, but wouldn't want to be a member there playing it all of the time. The walks between tee and green are a bit of a pain. There could do with being some more signage to aid this. Hot Day and no body manning halfway hut, which was not welcomed. There are some very nice holes on the course and the trees are beautiful but make it a straight hitters course. I had 81 so not moaning about that. Greens very receptive, but very bobbly to putt on.

course fairways pretty parched, but that will be the same on many golf courses.

My first visit to the West Berkshire. Thoroughly enjoyed it. A lengthy and challenging but fair course that suited my game perfectly. Very friendly welcome and very friendly encounters with others playing the course. Look forward to playing here again even though it's more than an hour's drive to get there
