Great course
The course was in great condition and the greens are in brilliant conditions considering it is now winter.
A good course spoiled by slow play
That's it really - it took 2hrs 30mins to complete the first nine and I walked off after 12holes. The course was in good nick and the greens were excellent although peppered with unrepaired pitch marks. But then one should not expect too much from what is essentially a pay and play course. There's something wrong here. This is the second time I have visited and the second time that it has taken and interminable time to get around. Either the layout is wrong or the tee times are too close together. It was particularly bad around the 3rd, 5th, 11th and 12th tees. Perhaps a course marshall would help. I am not an expert but I'm sure something could be worked out.
Great condition course, narrow fairways make it tricky
Lovely course, great condition. Drives must be bang on or you’re in the woods!
Bit slow on a Friday
Course is great and in good condition. we have played several times before but first time on a Friday. It seemed a lot more crowded and the play was quite slow which was disappointing compared to all the other days we've played when basically we had the course to ourselves. Greens are true, the tee boxes could do with evening out. Still a great experience overall
Good course
Greens was in good condition and fairways cut nice. Would recommend to friends. Best course that I have played this year
Great course - challenging
Nice course, some narrow fairways (need to be accurate with driver),some tricky greens (need to come in high)
Overall enjoyable round of golf-will definitely be back
Mates outing
Little wet weather wonder
Having visited a few times previously in all kinds of conditions, I decided to traipse 45 mins from home with a couple of mates confident this course would be as good as you would get after all the rain we've had. I wasn't wrong, greens were amazing, fairways short and in good condition with only 2 or 3 holes showing the affects of the persistent wet weather. Play was fairly slow and we found ourselves waiting on almost every tee. I've said after previous visits if this course was 10 miles closer I would undoubtedly become a member. Thoroughly enjoy it every time I play.
Golf with the Boys
Course and Green where in excellent conditions considering the resent poor weather and snow, staff where friendly, and pace of play was good,
Great value for a Saturday mornings round with the Boys
Friday Two Ball
The course was very quiet for a Friday, it was February but a bright and sunny day so ideal for golf. Check in was friendly and our the course was almost empty so we had unimpeded progress from mid morning to early afternoon. The course was well maintained with grass cutting, leaf clearance and tee box divots all being worked on by groundsmen. It was very playable considering the time of year when many clay courses can be boggy. There are plenty of trees and it's quite hilly over the last few holes, but it is an interesting and playable course..So all in all a very enjoyable round.
Good course, but very slow play
Course was in good condition but the recent rain was starting to create some muddy areas. Interesting holes, good length, some quite narrow drives and various elevation changes. The very slow pace spoilt it though. Our first time there but we kept up with the group in front. Not sure what was happening ahead but was a 5+ hour round. We saw at least one 5-ball group which doesn’t help!
Worth £27
Happy to pay £27.50 but it’s usually well over priced at £39
Beautiful autumn.
Great course in good condition. Autumn leaves made ball finding difficult.....
Tough
It’s a tough course, good layout with narrow tree lined fairways.
Tho only downside was quite a lot of leaves on the greens, I know it’s a golf course but evergreen tree’s would be a good option.
